When would a fan given award be given to a player, if not training camp?
Anyways, seems like he was making a smart ass comment. Kind of came off as "Raplh-ish." I see no problem with BBI wanting to nip this one in the bud before we are stuck with two Ralphs. Well done, folks.
The reason for the timing of the award (next year's traning camp)- that BBI understands the immediate post Superbowl excitement (and how the players are exhausted physically [and mentally after being hounded by the media for two weeks]) ...
Players just want to unwind, go to Disney World/Land and relax.
to be so dumb and talk like this, but after what this scumbag did and had to go through for his own actions, to be given another opportunity and a $100 million dollar contact to boot and spout this arrogance is unbelievable. Does anyone really think he thought the timing of the award was off, or is it orders of magnitude more likely he thought the award wasn't that important because it came from a fan site and was taking a jab?
This is why it's 1) always a good idea to keep your mouth shut until you really know what you're talking about 2) don't play on Twitter if you're not ready for the intended outcome (reaction).
Maybe Raskin should have a chat with Bob or Mike or Pat -- or maybe the Jacobs family, real friends of BBI and real friends of Hope, and get that this means something to the team and fans.

Garafolo is great. There's a couple of others that are OK. The rest suck and there is no good radio coverage of the Giants. The radio clowns either don't talk football, talk about the Jets all the time, or talk about teams from other NFL cities. The only reason why the Giants got a little more "pub" on the radio in the last year is because of Eli's comment and the run to the superbowl.
He made a remark implying that BBI should have somehow had a trophy presentation sometime after the SB, but before training camp. Don't know how he expects BBI to have a trophy presentation with Eli in the *offseason,* but he assumed it was possible, I suppose.

in fact, I don't see what separates this thread from any one of a hundred other ones. The tone in is this thread is typical of this site. As I said before, a person being called out for saying something stupid happens multiple times every day here. How is this in any way different? How is it different than any one of the several Vick threads? This guy said a stupid thing, and he was called out for it. Just another day at the office. If anyone's oversenitive, it's the people worried about being "embarrassed". That's weak sauce.
