What a shame, Bob was a great guy. I got to watch two games sitting with him and spent a lot of time up at camp with him. I really wish I could be there to pay my respects. For anyone who will get a chance to see the family please give them my regards. RIP Bob

When a guy's spirit is lifted up to the Lord with so many kind words.....it's certain he's gone to a better place.

I've been away from the site for a few days and come home to hear about this. I enjoyed meeting Bob in Albany a few years ago and also watching some games with him at Steve's house. A true blue fan of Big Blue, he will be missed.

It's always sad when a friend passes and doubly sad when it's someone as full of as life as Bob was. I only knew him from the many training camps and from online, but he always made me feel as if we were old friends.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.
My god

I don't even know what to say.

I've been very fortunate to know very few people who have passed away. Bob is also one of the first BBiers I had met. Bob has always been very kind and also very generous. Always a good conversationalist. It's always been a great pleasure to see Bob.

RIP dear friend, and godspeed. My condolences and prayers to those who had the pleasure of knowing Bob and to his family and close friends. You're all in my thoughts.

I have Bob's seats tomorrow at the stadium. I will have to route extra hard for the Giants. I'm just absolutely stunned and very saddened.
Wow,
GMenLTS : 10/20/2007 7:18 pm : link

I never met Bob but he's been posting here for years and has honored me time and time again by adding his gracious comments to many of my threads.

I suppose it's a measure of a fine man that so many people on this board add their regrets despite not meeting him.

RIP Bob.

And I find several emails, and this post, letting me know that we lost one of our own here. Bob was just awesome, I don't even know what else to say. I've known him for years around here having spent much time at Giants stadium with him, and he was there for me through some very difficult times, always checking in when I needed to hear from a friend the most.

I'm just heartbroken for Bob, Linda and the rest of the family.

And hugs Uncle BB, you know where to find me when you are ready to talk.
horrible news

(and Steve in MD) were among the very first BBIers I met. Thereafter, we watched games together at Steve's, and went up to one game together. He was the type of person who was just so naturally nice you almost took him for granted--until something like this happens. It's a very sad day. I will hope to see lots of you next Saturday in Severna Park. RIP.
May Bob rest in peace
