Fact is, we pulled off one of the the biggest upsets in the NFL history. Were they over-confident? I don't think so. Dallas, yes they were. Green Bay,too. We really should have thrashed them. But Pats? Nah. They just got beaten around by a better team my deluded friend.
I think the Packers were fairly cock-sure of themselves. I mean, Harris was talking sh!t all week, before he got abused,schooled and humiliated by Burress. Maybe he learnt something?
Favre, IMO, was sure he was in for a fall. I don't believe he threw a single snow-ball in the week leading up to the game.
Harris sucks. He talked shit to Owens in the dallas game and got abused in that one also in the Denver game and got abused but we still won that game. I didnt want it to be this way.
That game was one of the most important in New York Giants football history. That particular play (Jacobs trucking Woodson) set the tone for the entire game. The Lawrence Tynes FG sent us to the Super Bowl.
Bottomline... it doesn't matter that it was the Packers who we beat that game.

woodson was clearly out of the game physically after getting blasted by jacobs. he stuck to arm tackling and avoiding contact if you watched the damn game - most evident on his poor effort in tackling Bradshaw in the 2nd half. he was destroyed by jacobs and rendered useless for the final 3 quarters.
