didnt see this posted thought it might be of interest.. kind of cool that theyre letting him do time whenever its convenient for him i guess. wonder when it ends. the gnats front office has been very quiet about this. no. 44 in the slammah - ( New Window )
why dont you start a thread that titled "bradshaw back in jail for prior incident but will most likely still be on the field sunday." then you can be everyones hero.
If the article is correct, the thread title is accurate.
what does his being on the field on Sunday have to do with him being in jail right now? Granted this is kinda old news since we knew that Bradshaw would be serving more time for his probation violation, though I don't think anyone knew he'd be doing that during the bye week time off.
it doesn't say he'll be back ... in fact it doesn't say anything other than the guy is in jail as of Sunday and that it's related to the parole incident
Yeah, I don't think anyone would think he'd just be serving time in the middle of the year. Last I heard he was going to serve the rest of his time in the offseason... not during a bye week. My fault for assuming, but it just doesn't make much sense.
is that he spent last week--the bye week--serving some of his remaining jail time, and that he's back with the Giants now. The article is not exactly clear on the point, but that would make the most sense.
The NY Giants organization issued the following statement: "We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Ahmad's legal representative. This situation is not the result of any recent incident. It stems from an issue that occurred prior to Ahmad being drafted by the Giants. Beyond that, we have no further comment."
