My wife and I plan to go out and watch the game this weekend because my 18-month-old son does not need to witness the show I will put on. Where do BBIers go to watch the Giants these days?
is all Giants fans. It's a dive but you will be among friends ... I was there once during a Dallas game and two people showed up in Dallas jerseys and were promptly heckled out of the bar. The wings are decent and they usually have good beer specials.
If I can get a ticket I may make the trip to the stadium.
Crystal City if you're closer to VA. I go to Nellie's sometimes, too if I'm in that side of town. It's a gay bar, but straight-friendly for watching football - tons of TVs and a projector screen.
All in all, not too many choices in D.C., unfortunately.
is the only bar I know of in DC that is exclusively Giants fans. A lot of people like Cleveland Park Bar & Grill but in my experience it is kind of cheesy and there will definitely be non-Giants fans there.
of Giants fans. I know there is a substantial Giants contigent at Summer's in the same area, and Crystal City Sports Pub will always have some (although they will also have alot of Eagles fans as well).
On another note, why shouldn't your son see you in all your glory. I intend to show my 11-month old daughter (who was born in the week between Green Bay and the Superbowl) what being a Giant fan is all about.
I did not know you had a daughter within the past year. Congrats.
I swear a lot and throw shit, mostly pillows and remote controls. I'm trying to limit his exposure to the F bomb and I don't want him to get hit with a stray remote control part. If we weren't playing a division rival I wouldn't be as 'passionate' during the game. Division games are just so damn personal, particularly division playoff games.
I was on my best behavior during the playoffs last season. It's rough watching football with young ones, particularly night games because you have to put them to sleep (and not wake them up!).
is the only true Giants bar in DC itself. And now, thankfully, it will be devoid of the annoying Jets fans who won't give up their seats after their game is over.
Where a guy in a Giants ski cap comes over and welcomes you as soon as you walk in. Even brings some of his bitches over for you to hang with. In what looks to be a warehouse. Wear your Giants gear. And bring a stack of dough so you make it rain when the Giants score.
in Laurel. the loud, raunchy group near the entrance. a little NFCE conclave if you will. get there around 12:15 pm. the owner is a Giant fan BTW. ask for Manny (in MD on BBI). they LOVED Bob in Annapolis (and were stunned as we were when he died) and still ask about steve in maryland "the loud old white guy". ;O)
Great place to catch a game or other things...
