...a sneak peek of some of its Madden 2011 Quarterbacks, and, with a “Throwing Power” rating of 97, Stafford shall now and forever be known as having the biggest and baddest of all the “laser, rocket arms” launching pigskins during the 2010 season.
"The greatest two throws he ever saw an NFL QB make under pressure he ever saw was Tom Brady in the last 35 seconds of the 2007 Super Bowl.
After getting beat up all game he still put it on his receivers fingertips twice in a row 73 yds down field. He did his job which is put his team on the closest doorstep to come from behind twice in a row "
Of course, that's just Archie Manning's opinion.
He went on to say that if either was caught the play would go down as the greatest in NFL history...in his opinion.
We won...and we remember the Alford sack...but it was closer than we like to admit?
What a great game that was
George. lT may have in his day. After a point, the ability to throw Â
dont know if they are experts
1. Cutler - whistles the short to mid range balls like no one else
2. Russell - Probably can throw the longest pass in the NFL today
3. Campbell - amazing arm strength even on the run
4. McNabb - Tight spiral rockets
5. Palmer - Strong arm and incredible accuracy
honorable mention Derek Anderson
There might be a couple others I'd put in that top tier. I think Rogers and McNabb have really strong arms. Chad Henne has a pretty strong arm. Kerry Collins as well, though he's no longer a starter.
I agree with Archie. The decision to go for the home run might have been lower percentage, but with Brady at QB those two throws had me sweating bullets until they hit the ground.
I agree totally with Archie Manning. In fact, I've pointed out the same thing to a few friends of mine since that game. Had not Webster tipped that pass away from Moss, Moss would have either taken it in or given the Patriots a chip shot field goal. After that, it would have been anybody's game.
That was the play of Webster's career. And Brady is something else.
Great throw, but a knock on he and BB. Every time I hear Pats fans whine about that game I point to thier coaches decisions in the game. Two things always stick out; Why did BB go for it early on instead of the FG and why did he and Brady go for the homerun instead of going to the best slot WR in the game?
The first thing that popped in my head was that Brady throw too Â
just off the fingertips of Webster. Imagine for a second the horror of coming back like that, only to have the Pats run a 70 yard play with under a minute left and watching Webster and Wilson stand hopelessly as Moss scored.
Man, talk about your depressive alternate realities.
I say Brady because not only can he air it out, he can air it out precisely. I've seen other NFL QBs make some seriously deep throws, but never with anywhere near the same amount of accuracy.
was one of the greatest throws I'd ever seen, which highlights just how well Webster played it. Not just to get his fingers on it, but to stay with Moss the entire time.
I may be wrong but I don't think the Pats had enough time outs or even just time to dink and dunk down the field and set up a field goal.
I think Plax scored with under 30 seconds left.
Websters play is the play I am most thankful for Â
I know that he has quickly become one of the least likeable players in the league but his arm really does deserve the hype. The guy has an absolute rocket. I doubt he gets it all together but the arm is clearly top notch.
The 2nd of those Brady bombs wasn't very close. But the 1st one (right after the Alford sack) was one of the most unbelievable clutch deep balls I've ever seen. 75 yards on the money downfield. Moss had to slow down a little but not by much and on a play like that it's about as close as you can get. If that play actually went down I would have cried.
Cutler definitley thinks he has the strongest arm... Â

In terms of velocity, Cutler is certainly up there.

Back to the subject: Roethlisberger is also a good call. Jeff George isn't in the league anymore so I'd leave him out.

Anyone who can overthrow Devin Hester while on the run when Devin Hester is just streaking downfield...

Cutler sticks to his gun on Elway quote, maintains he has stronger arm - ( New Window )
slotting down the field to kick wasn't really an option.
