As I mentioned several weeks ago the GMEN were talking to Will for a while. I had the pleasure of coaching Will in high school where he had a legendary career at Bishop Hendricken in Rhode Island. In addition to his tremendous athleticism he is a great young man and a wonderful teammate..a high character person. He faced much adversity early in life as his mom passed away when Will was young but his father did a tremendous job in raising him and teaching him the importance of hard work , dedication, and being the best that you can be.
He went to Boston College ,where he roomed with Kiwi, and played corner for his first few years and then was switched to wideout his senior year...while it cost him several rounds in the draft(and much money) he nonetheless became a nickel corner for the Pack and a superb punt returner..in today's day and age of spoiled and pampered athletes Will has never forgotten his roots and where he came from... if he is healthy Will be be a great addition to Big Blue.I am elated for Will and for the GMEN.
High character is great. If he shores up some of our special teams problems well that will go a long way in paving the way for us to another SB title.
It is just a shame we had to lose Kiwi to gain him.
Good stuff, thanks Coach!
Sounds like a great kid who deserves a shot.
Let's hope he's able to take advantage of the opportunity.
