Just came in from working outside, sat down on the couch to watch a few plays of the Bills-Bengals.
The Bengals DB commits a really blatant pass interference in the end zone by shoving the Bills receiver with both hands while the DB's back it to the QB and the ball is in the air, and it isn't called!!!! WTF???? That is textbook PI. They couldn't have missed it.
Note that the game is in Cincinnati and according to the announcer, they already called 3 penalties on the Bungles on the drive. But that one was so blatant I couldn't believe they didn't call it.
that help the sport when they are good. It's like when people say 'a good yankees team is good for the game' I think applies to Raiders. Lot of fun to watch, fun to hate, everyone has a feeling one way about them or the other when they are good. And the rest of that division is so damn boring.
sucking I think of Jimmy Johnson saying Schaub is better than Eli when we played the Texans a few weeks back. He even said "if Eli played in Houston, it wouldn't even be a conversation."
Your Jets look like shit. I don't see how they are the best team in the AFC. OT vs the Lions and Browns and barely beating the Broncos. Now today's stellar performance. Before you talk shit at a Giants game you may want to find the end zone a little more.
There have been 25 fumbles in Jets games this year (their own fumbling or forcing fumbles). Normally a team recovers fumbles at 50% rate because, well, it's fucking luck.
Excellent. I'm in second place in my division, two games back with three to go. The wild card isn't gonna happen, but I'm playing the division leader today.
I know the stats don't always do Palmer's ability to blow a game justice, but to me it looks like this Johnson guy on the Bills is just blowing the Bengals' D apart.
I just have no room to play him. It's a shame because he's such a consistent 20 point guy usually and I always want to play him but my guys ahead of him are money
not to mention how he had revis beat for a walter td if walter doesn't drop the ball. revis has made himself one of the more hated players in the league as far as i'm concerned. and i'll say it, one of the most overrated players. he's not close to the level he was at last year.
Go down and lose a time out. Bad time to march out the "We're a balanced team!" garbage in this quarter. Save for the fumble by Greene, they should have been feeding the running game and not tried to prove anything with Sanchez. That said, I still can not get over how badly beat the Jets defense has been.
And the bravado of the Jets shows up again...win nothing, but talk and act like you have.
your ass better be on the game thread tonight!!! nice call dude. not only do i not have to listen to the fan about how the jets are gods gift this week, but under the 6th tiebreaker or so, strength of victory just got better for the giants!
All we will hear is how his arm was hit that caused the int
it was pretty soft. it's what you do, but with their passing D, they played with fire and got burned. wasn't something I complained about, but there are higher % passing plays you can run.
He and Mike McCarthy are the kind of coaches who are going to prevent their teams from ever being great (Kubiak to a much larger degree) due to their "coaching".
none of these teams will be in the playoffs to give the Jets football games. Lions, Broncos, Texans, Browns won't be anywhere near the playoffs to hand them wins
the first one, most NFL QB's can make when the coverage is blown beyond recognition. all they had to do there was protect the endzone and they still almost managed to not do it.
Good football teams won't give them wins like this. All of these games have come against bad football teams. Bad football teams that they needed absolute miracles to win.
Won't happen in the playoffs. Their defense isn't nearly as good as it was last year, they have no pass rush
A pretty mediocre Texans team just exerted their will on the self-anointed best defense in the league for the entire fourth quarter. Be interesting to see what superior teams do with today's game tape.
if my team was up by one and was inside the opponent's 10 and able to get them to be without their timeouts with 50 seconds left, and the RB had been averaging almost 4 ypc in the game... well, I'd probably be pretty disappointed if they threw a pass in that situation.
would you feel he was lucky? that the Texan's played poor defense? Why can't you give credit where credit's due? Are you that insecure that the press is going to loving Sanchez? It bothers you why?
Who gives a shit? It doesn't affect our team at all. They're finding ways to win games. That's all that matters at the end of the day. Good job by them.
There is just no way a single BBI'er would call what Sanchez just did
really is better then Manning!!! I mean that was the best comeback in the history of the NFL!!! EVER!!!! Sanchez just beat the absolute worst team against the pass in the league but watch........ Its gonna be Sanchez is the greatest!!! Makes me sick.
If the texans defense played like that against Eli
I would say the exact same thing, Eli made some very nice throws, but as a defense, you can't allow those throws to be open with under a minute to play.
secondly, I woudl hope Eli could hit guys on blown coverage. but we don't seem to get that help.
the fact that 2 throws the past 2 weeks were quick slants to Santonio holmes that go for TD's practically becuase of shit defense and poor tackling is a joke.
and Mark Sanchez is evolving into a hell of a QB--albeit of a Brett Favre-like nature (thrown an INT and then a miracle TD drive that would not have been necessary if you hadn't thrown the INT)
why do people here insist upon denying the obvious?
are acting like it was a guaranteed touchdown if they throw. It was far from a guarantee, and the risk/reward was simply not worth it. If you throw it incomplete, you give them the ball with 140 on the clock, instead of 1 minute.
If it was to go up two scores, you think about throwing it.
No brainer to run it there. And running it doesn't automatically mean you're not going to score, especially when you have a great running game
They should have lost to Houston, Detroit and Cleveland and they could have lost to Denver and Minny. They are lucky not good and if they don't blitz they get zero pressure. That defense is overated. Stop drinking the media kool-aid as they barely squeak by mediocre teams. They will make the playoffs as a wildcard and superior teams will take them apart
and lots of highlights video, we looked like we were similar, getting fortunate week after week despite not playing great football until the Niners 2nd half. Then we rolled.
Kubiaknshould be fired? Make the Jets drive the entire field, that's what you do, especially with Sanchez at QB..Fine the pieces of shit, did it, but it was a sound decision by GK
it's one of those things where they pan to the throw on TV and you're like "huh?"
they were checking themselves down into oblivion and then the entire right side of the Texans' secondary had a collective brain fart. shit, Edwards almost scored, how is that even possible there?
That's exactly what I was thinking at the end of the Jets game. The '86 Giants had that crazy middle of the season where they didn't dominate, but won constantly. Of course the playoffs were a different story, but those wins gave the Giants confidence. Whether the Jets can do it in the playoffs is something we'll have to see. But give credit where it's due...they never give up.
Can't resist adding here that Randy Moss was a huge asset to Tennessee in losing to the 'Skins: caught zero of four (that I saw -- could have been more when I stepped away) thrown in his direction. Anyone still sorry the Giants did not keep the guy?
GB vs Min
on the bus...
Never seen a punt return for a TD that looked like it was in slow motion, but that one was.
That just undefendable
"What the fuck are you doing calling penalties on the Steelers!?"
No Cardinals vibe in this city.....

Farrior lowered the boom on Campbell though.

it is so irritating.
great another bullshit bullshit
they sold their soul to the NFL devil and are being rewarded in the most bullshit of ways
First rate site
this site always works eh? every week? thats pretty crazy.
oh how we love the NFL...
Would be nice of TN to wake up in the 2nd half and win that game.
Suh held in endzone
Sanchize with the lame airplane display. you threw a slant and the DB blew himself out. congrats for throwing an accurate 8-10 yard pass
10 straight penalties and about 5-6 were bullshit
The Jets have recovered 19 of 25 fumbles.
The horsecollar call was horsehit.
Most of my guys are yet to play but right now I look fucked
http://www.vshare.tv/live/88af355545dbc3491d2e3f5ccc682c40566a9db8d8f465/firstze1/1
lol, what a mess of a play that was. it confused the DB's, though
today is one of those god awful days
Florio may have been right -- the best way for the Bengals to win is to be behind 20 points early.
the Bills are opening up a keg on the Bengals. I think Marvin Lewis is going to be given a cardboard box and 15 minutes pretty soon
ruh roh
The Jets - a classic 8-8 football team that has gotten almost every good bounce of the football this year.
Sanchez did the "deer in the headlights" act last series, can't think he will be any less flustered if the Texans score here.
fuck that if it is overturned.
and fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck the Jets
is actually right.
good shit Ref... TD TDTDTD
suck it gang green!!!!!
That terrible team is tied with Titans in the 4th at Tennessee
all these play action roll outs have KILLED the Jets...
nice.
sucks.
also with out Santonio Holmes the Jets would be terrible and have no passing game what so ever.
hahaha # 75 you fucked your team so bad
And the bravado of the Jets shows up again...win nothing, but talk and act like you have.
pffft.
Edwards was clear
hahahaha
yesssss
Mario Williams... Fuck yea!!!! gotem
that should be about it
"Jets right now are dumbfounded"
wonder why the Giants have a couple issues.
there O-Line has been a real strength for them this year... with 1 guy out they look like dookies
was a nice touch. game isn't over though
Tock.
So let them score, down by 8, go for a TD and a 2 point conversion.
giving him 35 yards here is a disaster. if that happens, they'd be better off going for it.
you gotta be shitting me. lol. well, at least he didn't score
I cannot believe this team.
Maybe they are the chosen ones.
please God no
Jets - 2010 season
he's just mediocre. 2TD-11INT in the fourth quarter isn't exactly great
You have the worst pass defense in the league... Yet you don't throw the ball and try to win the game inside the 10 yard line? Unacceptable.
He needs to be fired.
2 games now in a row that were given away.
you fucking piece of shit texans you fucking moron loser bitches.
you are the biggest joke of a fucking team you fucks.
go die!
lol. Gary Kubiak is getting a cardboard box, too.
bad defense
=
jets win
Running the 40 seconds off was more important
it was pretty soft. it's what you do, but with their passing D, they played with fire and got burned. wasn't something I complained about, but there are higher % passing plays you can run.
I'd kill for the jets' luck
He and Mike McCarthy are the kind of coaches who are going to prevent their teams from ever being great (Kubiak to a much larger degree) due to their "coaching".
Reminds me of us vs. San Diego last year
E
T
S
whats that spell
LUCK LUCK LUCK
Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that will be talked about.
the first one, most NFL QB's can make when the coverage is blown beyond recognition. all they had to do there was protect the endzone and they still almost managed to not do it.
Just giving everyone a preview of WFAN.
The insecurity on this board toward the Jets is nuts.
Good football teams won't give them wins like this. All of these games have come against bad football teams. Bad football teams that they needed absolute miracles to win.
Won't happen in the playoffs. Their defense isn't nearly as good as it was last year, they have no pass rush
the defense fucking jerked him off by letting the Jets just fucking play catch.
what a god damn display of shit ass defense if i've ever seen one.
fuckingJets god damnit!!!
ruining my life
Texans defense blew it
I'll give sanchez credit, he made very nice throws but the porous defensive play by the texans lost them the game
Not saying we're much better than the Jets, but the Jets are nothing more than a decent football team
1) That means you are assuming you will just make the FG.
2) You create a thought process that says I am afraid we will make a mistake.
3) You leave the game clsoe enough that the Jets still have hope.
31-23 is more daunting than 27-23 mentally. The Texans should fire Kubiak...
so what he hits 2 passes to guys.
he was at practice right there, as the DB's were off in lala land playing red light green light.
they sucked.
another stolen win, that the media will ignore and anoint Sanchez the next HOF'er and the Jets the next best dynasty.
fuckin can't stand it
Who gives a shit? It doesn't affect our team at all. They're finding ways to win games. That's all that matters at the end of the day. Good job by them.
That was a sick, perfectly executed 1-minute drill. Period.
It's a joke really
secondly, I woudl hope Eli could hit guys on blown coverage. but we don't seem to get that help.
the fact that 2 throws the past 2 weeks were quick slants to Santonio holmes that go for TD's practically becuase of shit defense and poor tackling is a joke.
stolen
why do people here insist upon denying the obvious?
I could see that drive coming a mile away because that secondary is indeed that bad
He's the next John Kitna, nothing more...
ugh.
Sanchez made 1 good throw to Edwards in stride... great...
how many did he miss all game?
how bout all those NON intercepted passes he could/should have.
i'm gonna hear the slobbering of JET dick all week long at work.
shoot me
If it was to go up two scores, you think about throwing it.
No brainer to run it there. And running it doesn't automatically mean you're not going to score, especially when you have a great running game
Sanchez made nice throws, but those are throws no one, not even joe Montana, should be able to complete in that situation
The only mistake I can remember similar to that given the situation was Gibril on 3rd and 10 in the SB. Thank god CW saved us.
BOOK IT
(or am i switching up games there)
overrated
'Sanchez sucks and the Jets only win because of luck' is quite another and reeks of a sibling rivalry-esque insecurity.
I watch all the Texans games along with the G-Men, and his decisions have cost the Texans way more games then they have won.
Titans had been 3-0 against NFC East.
of course it's luck. how is it not? lol.
it's one of those things where they pan to the throw on TV and you're like "huh?"
they were checking themselves down into oblivion and then the entire right side of the Texans' secondary had a collective brain fart. shit, Edwards almost scored, how is that even possible there?
Jim Nantz is pissed about the Texans' D.
