I think when they gave Rex Ryan that lap-band thing
Kulish29 : 11/21/2010 4:16 pm : link
They also surgically implanted a horseshoe up his ass.
Titans are dirty as fuck
Jints in Carolina : 11/21/2010 4:17 pm : link
.
eh
GMenLTS : 11/21/2010 4:17 pm : link
I consider it lucky when you give up a huge play like that with 2 minutes left.

Texans defense blew it

I'll give sanchez credit, he made very nice throws but the porous defensive play by the texans lost them the game
lukes
MookGiants : 11/21/2010 4:17 pm : link
we've at least beaten up on the bad teams and haven't had to have miracles to win those games.

Not saying we're much better than the Jets, but the Jets are nothing more than a decent football team
I don't know
santacruzom : 11/21/2010 4:17 pm : link
if my team was up by one and was inside the opponent's 10 and able to get them to be without their timeouts with 50 seconds left, and the RB had been averaging almost 4 ypc in the game... well, I'd probably be pretty disappointed if they threw a pass in that situation.
I disagree with the assessment
mjvm52106 : 11/21/2010 4:17 pm : link
that the Texans running 40 seconds off the clock was more important than the score.

1) That means you are assuming you will just make the FG.

2) You create a thought process that says I am afraid we will make a mistake.

3) You leave the game clsoe enough that the Jets still have hope.

31-23 is more daunting than 27-23 mentally. The Texans should fire Kubiak...
he was playing catch out there
whobetta : 11/21/2010 4:19 pm : link
Sanchez had multiple chances to WIN the game before but blew easy fucking bomb passes to wide open recievers.

so what he hits 2 passes to guys.

he was at practice right there, as the DB's were off in lala land playing red light green light.

they sucked.

another stolen win, that the media will ignore and anoint Sanchez the next HOF'er and the Jets the next best dynasty.

fuckin can't stand it
If Eli did that
Headhunter : 11/21/2010 4:19 pm : link
would you feel he was lucky? that the Texan's played poor defense? Why can't you give credit where credit's due? Are you that insecure that the press is going to loving Sanchez? It bothers you why?
Titans
Wuphat : 11/21/2010 4:20 pm : link
falling apart.
People get way too
Kyle in NY : 11/21/2010 4:20 pm : link
Bent out of shape about this team.

Who gives a shit? It doesn't affect our team at all. They're finding ways to win games. That's all that matters at the end of the day. Good job by them.
There is just no way a single BBI'er would call what Sanchez just did
Overseer : 11/21/2010 4:20 pm : link
"luck" if Eli had done the same thing. Not one.

That was a sick, perfectly executed 1-minute drill. Period.
I guess Sanchez
NukeMiDong : 11/21/2010 4:20 pm : link
really is better then Manning!!! I mean that was the best comeback in the history of the NFL!!! EVER!!!! Sanchez just beat the absolute worst team against the pass in the league but watch........ Its gonna be Sanchez is the greatest!!! Makes me sick.
If the texans defense played like that against Eli
GMenLTS : 11/21/2010 4:21 pm : link
I would say the exact same thing, Eli made some very nice throws, but as a defense, you can't allow those throws to be open with under a minute to play.

It's a joke really
cuz i got
whobetta : 11/21/2010 4:21 pm : link
jerkoff jet fans at work, who i cant stand.

secondly, I woudl hope Eli could hit guys on blown coverage. but we don't seem to get that help.

the fact that 2 throws the past 2 weeks were quick slants to Santonio holmes that go for TD's practically becuase of shit defense and poor tackling is a joke.

stolen
Overseer
NukeMiDong : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
yea against the worst pass Defemse in the NFL
Sanchez made great throws..
arcarsenal : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
There's no doubt. I'm just personally not that impressed by the Jets as a whole. I think they're good.. I don't think they're great.
Gotta give the Jets all the credit.
bceagle05 : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
I don't see them as a championship team but 8-2 is 8-2. And they get Cincy at home on Thursday. They could easily be 9-2 heading into a 10-day break.
Jets are a good team
oipolloi : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
and Mark Sanchez is evolving into a hell of a QB--albeit of a Brett Favre-like nature (thrown an INT and then a miracle TD drive that would not have been necessary if you hadn't thrown the INT)

why do people here insist upon denying the obvious?
Like somehow
Headhunter : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
if another team does well, it has to denegrate the Giants or Eli in particular. That is the rational of a 4th grader
Overseer
Big Blue '56 : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
NEVER insecurity, just absolute hatred for 50 years over any other team, by far!!!!
And I'm not discrediting the jets, they're good
GMenLTS : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
but I've been watching the texans secondary blow chunks all year long since they beat Peyton

I could see that drive coming a mile away because that secondary is indeed that bad
Sanchez can't shine Eli's shoes
Stan from LA : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
And never will. I caught his act out here at SC and he'll be great one week and stink the next.

He's the next John Kitna, nothing more...
Get a grip guys
Paul in Brooklyn : 11/21/2010 4:22 pm : link
All of these comments are screaming "I'm insecure! Also I lack self-awareness! Jets must suxor!11"
I have to admit
santacruzom : 11/21/2010 4:23 pm : link
I kind of root for the Jets to win just because the reactions here are hilarious. They're the football equivalent of FilmGiant's political rants.
worst 8-2 team in
whobetta : 11/21/2010 4:23 pm : link
history.

ugh.

Sanchez made 1 good throw to Edwards in stride... great...

how many did he miss all game?

how bout all those NON intercepted passes he could/should have.

i'm gonna hear the slobbering of JET dick all week long at work.

shoot me
Some
MookGiants : 11/21/2010 4:24 pm : link
are acting like it was a guaranteed touchdown if they throw. It was far from a guarantee, and the risk/reward was simply not worth it. If you throw it incomplete, you give them the ball with 140 on the clock, instead of 1 minute.

If it was to go up two scores, you think about throwing it.

No brainer to run it there. And running it doesn't automatically mean you're not going to score, especially when you have a great running game
Who cares about the Jets
jd_blue : 11/21/2010 4:25 pm : link
Let the Giants take care of business tonight. If Eli puts up a stinker, the Jets deserve all the hype.
I hate Kubiak
MookGiants : 11/21/2010 4:25 pm : link
but he didn't blow this game. The d-coordinator/defensive players flat out blew the game. Period.

Sanchez made nice throws, but those are throws no one, not even joe Montana, should be able to complete in that situation
Who didn't know the Jets would pull that out/
sg0508 : 11/21/2010 4:26 pm : link
Allen should be out of work tomorrow. That was some of the worst pass coverage I've ever seen in that situation.

The only mistake I can remember similar to that given the situation was Gibril on 3rd and 10 in the SB. Thank god CW saved us.
Jets are a .500 quality team at best
Larry in Pencilvania : 11/21/2010 4:26 pm : link
They should have lost to Houston, Detroit and Cleveland and they could have lost to Denver and Minny. They are lucky not good and if they don't blitz they get zero pressure. That defense is overated. Stop drinking the media kool-aid as they barely squeak by mediocre teams. They will make the playoffs as a wildcard and superior teams will take them apart

BOOK IT
LiP
whobetta : 11/21/2010 4:27 pm : link
the only reason they didn't lose to Denver was that PI at the end.

(or am i switching up games there)

overrated
Instead of trashing the guys X town
NYGUES : 11/21/2010 4:27 pm : link
just root for our team. Class : try it you'll like it.
Explain to me what
Headhunter : 11/21/2010 4:27 pm : link
Sanchez has to do with Eli? You worried that he might get more love from the media than Eli? Tell me how that matters on the field?
By the way, I was only 2 in 1986, but from watching games on DVD
sg0508 : 11/21/2010 4:27 pm : link
and lots of highlights video, we looked like we were similar, getting fortunate week after week despite not playing great football until the Niners 2nd half. Then we rolled.
JFC
Big Blue '56 : 11/21/2010 4:27 pm : link
Kubiaknshould be fired? Make the Jets drive the entire field, that's what you do, especially with Sanchez at QB..Fine the pieces of shit, did it, but it was a sound decision by GK
BB'56
Overseer : 11/21/2010 4:28 pm : link
'I hate the Jets and can't stand the ball-licking they receive' is one thing.

'Sanchez sucks and the Jets only win because of luck' is quite another and reeks of a sibling rivalry-esque insecurity.
.......
yankees78 : 11/21/2010 4:32 pm : link
unbelievable..texans suck ass
BB56
Tim in Eternal Blue : 11/21/2010 4:35 pm : link
My comments have nothing to do with being a Jets hater. The Texans are my secondary team, and Kubiak is a mediocre coach at best.

I watch all the Texans games along with the G-Men, and his decisions have cost the Texans way more games then they have won.
Hated the Jets ending...
aquidneck : 11/21/2010 4:35 pm : link
kinda pleased for the Skins though.

Titans had been 3-0 against NFC East.
it was a huge blown coverage
lalalalala : 11/21/2010 4:37 pm : link

of course it's luck. how is it not? lol.

it's one of those things where they pan to the throw on TV and you're like "huh?"

they were checking themselves down into oblivion and then the entire right side of the Texans' secondary had a collective brain fart. shit, Edwards almost scored, how is that even possible there?
sg0508
MickeyRibs : 11/21/2010 4:38 pm : link
That's exactly what I was thinking at the end of the Jets game. The '86 Giants had that crazy middle of the season where they didn't dominate, but won constantly. Of course the playoffs were a different story, but those wins gave the Giants confidence. Whether the Jets can do it in the playoffs is something we'll have to see. But give credit where it's due...they never give up.
How 'bought
aquidneck : 11/21/2010 4:45 pm : link
those Buffalo Bills?!!!
uh
aquidneck : 11/21/2010 4:46 pm : link
guess that shoulda been 'bout.
Amazing....
rptl530 : 11/21/2010 4:50 pm : link
how all the games that impact the Giants have been going against them the last few weeks.

lol
lalalalala : 11/21/2010 4:51 pm : link

Jim Nantz is pissed about the Texans' D.
Haha yeah Nantz
bceagle05 : 11/21/2010 4:56 pm : link
is from Houston I think. I laughed at that too.
Randy Moss
Percy : 11/21/2010 6:24 pm : link
Can't resist adding here that Randy Moss was a huge asset to Tennessee in losing to the 'Skins: caught zero of four (that I saw -- could have been more when I stepped away) thrown in his direction. Anyone still sorry the Giants did not keep the guy?
Randy Moss
RobCarpenter : 11/21/2010 7:34 pm : link
Quit on a route, almost leading to an INT, then had an obvious PI on the next play. All this after Young went out.
