if my team was up by one and was inside the opponent's 10 and able to get them to be without their timeouts with 50 seconds left, and the RB had been averaging almost 4 ypc in the game... well, I'd probably be pretty disappointed if they threw a pass in that situation.
would you feel he was lucky? that the Texan's played poor defense? Why can't you give credit where credit's due? Are you that insecure that the press is going to loving Sanchez? It bothers you why?
Who gives a shit? It doesn't affect our team at all. They're finding ways to win games. That's all that matters at the end of the day. Good job by them.
There is just no way a single BBI'er would call what Sanchez just did
really is better then Manning!!! I mean that was the best comeback in the history of the NFL!!! EVER!!!! Sanchez just beat the absolute worst team against the pass in the league but watch........ Its gonna be Sanchez is the greatest!!! Makes me sick.
If the texans defense played like that against Eli
I would say the exact same thing, Eli made some very nice throws, but as a defense, you can't allow those throws to be open with under a minute to play.
secondly, I woudl hope Eli could hit guys on blown coverage. but we don't seem to get that help.
the fact that 2 throws the past 2 weeks were quick slants to Santonio holmes that go for TD's practically becuase of shit defense and poor tackling is a joke.
and Mark Sanchez is evolving into a hell of a QB--albeit of a Brett Favre-like nature (thrown an INT and then a miracle TD drive that would not have been necessary if you hadn't thrown the INT)
why do people here insist upon denying the obvious?
are acting like it was a guaranteed touchdown if they throw. It was far from a guarantee, and the risk/reward was simply not worth it. If you throw it incomplete, you give them the ball with 140 on the clock, instead of 1 minute.
If it was to go up two scores, you think about throwing it.
No brainer to run it there. And running it doesn't automatically mean you're not going to score, especially when you have a great running game
They should have lost to Houston, Detroit and Cleveland and they could have lost to Denver and Minny. They are lucky not good and if they don't blitz they get zero pressure. That defense is overated. Stop drinking the media kool-aid as they barely squeak by mediocre teams. They will make the playoffs as a wildcard and superior teams will take them apart
and lots of highlights video, we looked like we were similar, getting fortunate week after week despite not playing great football until the Niners 2nd half. Then we rolled.
Kubiaknshould be fired? Make the Jets drive the entire field, that's what you do, especially with Sanchez at QB..Fine the pieces of shit, did it, but it was a sound decision by GK
it's one of those things where they pan to the throw on TV and you're like "huh?"
they were checking themselves down into oblivion and then the entire right side of the Texans' secondary had a collective brain fart. shit, Edwards almost scored, how is that even possible there?
That's exactly what I was thinking at the end of the Jets game. The '86 Giants had that crazy middle of the season where they didn't dominate, but won constantly. Of course the playoffs were a different story, but those wins gave the Giants confidence. Whether the Jets can do it in the playoffs is something we'll have to see. But give credit where it's due...they never give up.
Can't resist adding here that Randy Moss was a huge asset to Tennessee in losing to the 'Skins: caught zero of four (that I saw -- could have been more when I stepped away) thrown in his direction. Anyone still sorry the Giants did not keep the guy?
Texans defense blew it
I'll give sanchez credit, he made very nice throws but the porous defensive play by the texans lost them the game
Not saying we're much better than the Jets, but the Jets are nothing more than a decent football team
1) That means you are assuming you will just make the FG.
2) You create a thought process that says I am afraid we will make a mistake.
3) You leave the game clsoe enough that the Jets still have hope.
31-23 is more daunting than 27-23 mentally. The Texans should fire Kubiak...
so what he hits 2 passes to guys.
he was at practice right there, as the DB's were off in lala land playing red light green light.
they sucked.
another stolen win, that the media will ignore and anoint Sanchez the next HOF'er and the Jets the next best dynasty.
fuckin can't stand it
Who gives a shit? It doesn't affect our team at all. They're finding ways to win games. That's all that matters at the end of the day. Good job by them.
That was a sick, perfectly executed 1-minute drill. Period.
It's a joke really

stolen

I could see that drive coming a mile away because that secondary is indeed that bad
He's the next John Kitna, nothing more...
ugh.
Sanchez made 1 good throw to Edwards in stride... great...
how many did he miss all game?
how bout all those NON intercepted passes he could/should have.
i'm gonna hear the slobbering of JET dick all week long at work.
shoot me

Sanchez made nice throws, but those are throws no one, not even joe Montana, should be able to complete in that situation
The only mistake I can remember similar to that given the situation was Gibril on 3rd and 10 in the SB. Thank god CW saved us.
BOOK IT
(or am i switching up games there)
overrated
'Sanchez sucks and the Jets only win because of luck' is quite another and reeks of a sibling rivalry-esque insecurity.
I watch all the Texans games along with the G-Men, and his decisions have cost the Texans way more games then they have won.
Titans had been 3-0 against NFC East.
of course it's luck. how is it not? lol.

Jim Nantz is pissed about the Texans' D.
