about Baas making the line calls. Tom Rock writes ...
We’re going to put him right in, and there is going to be some things that aren’t going to be as smooth as you want,” Giants offensive line coach Pat Flaherty said. “But he is going to be the guy. He’s going to be in there, snapping the ball, making calls.
Totally agree. Some people will never stop bitching.
Love Snee. But not at Center. That's not a criticism. It isn't his position. I'd rather have Boothe, and that isn't saying much more.
People here have been screaming for the last several years to use a high draft pick on a center. But we go out and probably the best center in FA and it's just more complaining. Maybe the contract is a little high, but as someone noted, this may solve the problem of center for possibly as long as five years.
One- this is really a 2 year contract for a 30 year old guy- the cap hits are small both years. He can also be cut after year 2 and still get some cap savings.
Two- the Giants are going to have to attack the interior of the OL in the high rounds of the next 2 drafts.
Life is short - chill
Full disclosure -- I have my heart set on Peter Konz of the Badgers as our long-term solution.
