Nothing! You just don't pack it in after one week in camp!
It wasn't Reese's fault! He wanted Boss - Boss wanted more money! And he GOT more money! Reese just didn't have it to give. So he goes out and signs Patrick, just in case, AND PATRICK UP AND QUITS ON HIM!
And then I come to BBI and I see all these threads...time to worry...disaster of a season...Ballard's no good...all kinds of vile crap. Who are you to say Ballard's no good, unless YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING WITH HIM, WATCHING HIM RUN ROUTES, WORKING ON HIS SPEED, WORKING WITH ELI DURING THE LOCKOUT!
For you, Osi holding out is a big deal. FOR ME IT'S NOTHING! Trade his ass or let him rot on a bike.
So Prince Amukamara broke his foot and he'll miss six or seven weeks. SHIT HAPPENS! He'll be more than ready come playoff time, AND WE WILL MAKE THE GODDAMNED PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR! YOU WANNA KNOW WHY? BECAUSE EVERYBODY SAYS WE WON'T, AND THE FUCKING GIANTS FEED OFF THAT KIND OF SHIT!
I remember...I remember back in 2007. No more Tiki...60% of our offense gone. Strahan blows off training camp. No big moves in free agency...just Kawika Mitchell. Kiwi gets moved to linebacker...everybody says the Giants will be lucky to win eight games.
Steve Smith gets hurt early on...misses eleven weeks. And then we lose Kiwi and have to play Reggie Torbor. Then Shockey gets hurt and we have to play a rookie, Boss. Ward goes down...Bradshaw, another rookie, has to play. Eli looks like crap against the Vikings...even worse against the Redskins...
BUT WE ENDED UP WINNING THE SUPER BOWL AFTER THE GREATEST PLAYOFF RUN IN GIANTS HISTORY!
I can't get it out of my head...I dream of Super Bowl glory. And sometimes I wake up and I don't know what website I'm on. I don't want to open any threads...I don't want to post. The same old whiny douchebags pissing and moaning about this or that. I can't put it out of my mind...
Look John, you've done some damage here, they don't want anymore trouble. That's why I've come. I want to come in there and fly you the hell out. Just you and me. We'll work this thing out together. Is that fair enough?"
The 2007 team was way better than this team if you remember.
Basically better at everything except safety.
I didn't think we would win a superbowl but i knew we would at least make the playoffs.
Nobody knew if jacobs could fill the void for Tiki, but he didn't have to do it all by himself.
Eli understood that he needed to be less aggressive and work on just completing more passes and just not hurt the team because the running game was very powerful because we had good runningbacks and a great Line.
Defensively I thought we would be good because we had unreal depth at the defensive line position.
Linebackers were that good but way better than what we currently have.
Corners were probably weaker then but not much and they made plays when they had to.
Special teams wise we were better because we had Feagles but a punter is usually not something that wins or loses games but we all know what happened this year.
"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
And no way was the 07 team better then this one at this time.
Our CBs were significantly weaker, our 2nd wr couldn't break 5 seconds in the 40. Oline and d line were more proven but talent wise this years versions are on par (including osi). Eli is also a lot better. Te was the only position that was a lot better in 07.
Gotta laugh when people make comparisons to the '07 team......that was a once in a lifetime ride.....everything fell into place at the end of the season.....
So comparing to that is season is completely senseless.....
Things fall into place "perfectly" for most championship runs
in retrospect...Big Ben as a rookie...Saints post-katrina...Packers despite all their injuries last year...Indy with Bob Sanders coming back from injury...etc. etc.
Teams either have enough talent to put themselves into position to make a run or they don't. Glaring weaknesses are obviously the easiest fault lines to break - like our safeties in 09 or Sheridan - and this team, and last year's for that matter, have more talent and less glaring weakness (and more depth) then our SB roster.
In town you're the law. On BBI, it's me.
Don't push it...don't push it or I'll give you a thread you won't believe.
Let it go...
They drew first blood, not me.
They drew first blood.
I HATE BOBBLEHEAD DOLLS!!!
I hate darasman.

Get a hold of yourself!!
As per BBI, the season was doomed and the Giants werent going to get a wild card spot.

Same shit, different year.
There's so much to like about the 2011 New York Football Giants, but some fools just love to dwell on the negatives and ignore the positives.
Fuck 'em all, I say.
DARASMAN!!!
