I liked what I saw in his cup of coffee last year, but right now he's more prepared to be in next year's Tour de France than to play football.

Will have to learn a new offense and do so with limited practice time. Will not start. Will play with a QB who while improved is not conducive to producing big numbers from his wideouts. Will likely not play all 16 games
Does he expect that when he hits the market after this season that he will have shown enough in Philly to warrant a big deal? If i was him i would have gone to a different situation if one was available, and wanted a little more security than just one season. Id have signed a 2 year contract
One, they signed a valuable from the division rival..regardless of what he does this year, it's a long term plan. if he plays and gets health, then they can resign him for a longer term
This is in fact a win-win for the eagles, as much as it sucks..

Eli still is, and I don't care if this is a business (which I know it is), Smith is nothing to me now. I understand he has to do what is best for him and his family, but that does not mean I have to cheer for it or him. I root for the blue jersey. You are either in it or not.
On BBI, asshat is used as a term to mean 1) a person who has inside information and is reporting it to us (the term is used endearingly), and 2) a person who is making believe that they have inside information (the term used critically).
In general internet lingo, an asshat is a person who is so clueless that they wear their own ass as a hat (they've got their head up their ass).
