Both these guys were the 2 toughest guys on the team when you played. If they could be out there you know they would! They still bleed blue perhaps you forgot that color now that $$$ green pays the bills.
for a lack of veteran leadership he may have more insight than the typical outside observer. As for playing through a stinger and an MCL injury, come on. If it's Becky unable to identify his injury and just saying he doesn't feel right sure, but these are verifiable, painful injuries from players we need for the next 11 games, not just this one.
(or at least I hope so)that they should have been out on the sidelines pumping up the players and providing a spark. I didn't get to watch the game so idk if they were on the field or not.
kmed, he’s had a decent enough amount of carries in his career and yesterday was just a continuation of the same. He is terrible. He’s doesn’t make people miss, he isn’t really fast, he’s just a guy that runs into the pile. And I’m not blaming him for the safety. Let’s be honest, he sucks.
was that the Giants could afford to hold them out because they just playing Seattle. The suggestion being that if the game "meant more", they would be out there. Hell, the way it was going, people here thought the Giants could field 1/2 a team and they would win yesterday no matter what.
Pierce sustained a high ankle sprain, also known as a syndesmosis sprain, during Week 14. The syndesmosis sprain represents an injury to the inferior tibiofibular ligament (the ligament at the bottom of the lower leg connecting the two leg bones, the tibia and fibula). The joint between the two lower leg bones (tibiofibular) forms the roof of the ankle joint (mortise). With a high ankle sprain this joint can separate, thus potentially leading to ankle instability. If there is enough stress across the mortise at the time of the sprain, that stress can travel up the outer leg bone (fibula) causing a fracture. In an effort to minimize separation of the tibiofibular joint, the athlete will be restricted in weight-bearing activities. In some cases, the athlete will be casted to limit weight bearing and help maintain the ankle in a position that will promote healing. The first phase is to allow the ligament to heal. The second phase is to promote normal range of motion at the joint, once there are no longer concerns about the ligament overstretching. Lastly, in order to return to play, strength, balance and proprioception (spatial awareness) need to be near normal so that running, cutting and yes, hitting, can occur without risking re-injury.
if he knew anything about leadership he would have told plax to keep the gun at home.
There is onething of watching game tape for hours and putting players in good position to make plays. There is also the ideal leadership values in a person / football player. Pierce has neither.
The problem is a lot of casual fans(or ESPN watching morons)will lap this kind of crap up.
And a one legged Tuck with tingling hands would certainly help(assuming he wasn't lost for the entire year just getting out on the field).
Lord, sometimes the talking heads make my butt itch.
That is what I think Pierce is talking about.
Not a good job on his part.
