McQueary Won't Coach Saturday, Has Received Death Threats

could have done the most to end the horror, in my opinion. Whatever you think of JoPa and his actions, McQ is 10x worse. If he actually saw the abuse happening, and then turned and walked away, without doing anything, that's big time bad.

How there are no criminal charges against this guy is beyond me. The Grand Jury seems to think pretty highly of him. Hard to believe.

He is going to be the star witness. He might already have a deal in place for all we know.

From what has been reported about McQueary's talk with his father, the father seems like he instilled no sense of courage in his son because it appeared that the father had none himself. How as a father does the elder McQueary not tell his son to go back and find the child and protect him? What a great family that is.

JS's crime came to light in 1998 and Joe JUST fired JS and did not turn him in and he also let him hang around the Penn State program, using it as a cover, to impress the little boys so he could abuse them. McQueary did not stop the act that he saw. If the Board of Trustees and the Grand Jury think so highly of him by not firing him immediately and initially allowed him to coach the game, then I'm holding it in my heart that he did stop the act from continuing. This however is not enough to keep him without blame for allowing the issue to be swept under the rug.

He testified that after he saw what he saw he went to his office and called his daddy and daddy told him to "leave the building" and come to his house. There daddy and grad student decided to report the crime to Paterno, not the police, "promptly". "Promptly" was the next day.

this same kind of thing happened at my first job out of college...one of my co-workers went back to our office late one night bc he forgot something, and walked by a room in which one of the low-level managers was performing an "act" on a young boy.

My co-worker went straight to his office and called the police. By the time they got there, the manager was gone. He was arrested at his home a couple hours later, and is still in prison.

The story came out that the manager had several young boys as victims, and was a little league coach and very active with youth programs in the area - the stereotypical nightmare.

My co-worker was 22 at the time, and the manager was mid-30s and a strange dude at that, so I never really questioned why he didn't stop it himself - but he did what any right-minded human being would do - he called the cops immediately.

I can only imagine how many other kids were protected b/c my co-worker did the right thing that night.

If McQuery or Paterno or any of these other clowns had any honor or integrity or guts, how many kids might they have saved?

Some story does not add up. McQueary is still employed by Penn State. I think they have completely handled this incredibly poor just this week alone but they have more information than us but there must be a lot more to the story why he still is employed as there is no way that they could possibly withhold the truth right now. I'm 95% sure that McQueary is an absolute coward and when you say that a grown 'man' didn't stop this, I struggle with using the word 'man' in his case.

I am trying to refrain from judgement until the story comes out. If by small chance he had been abused previously, I would feel incredibly bad with a rush to judgement.

It will take months if not years to find out what happened and that is why I'm convinced that the season should not be played. What if they have fired Paterno for his non-action but their new head coach who has been there for years, committed more egregious offenses and they have to fire him next week? There is nothing to gain from playing these games.

How did this coward continue to move up in the ranks after this incident? As people have said, if Paterno believed McQueary, then he should/would have followed through in getting rid of Sandusky and getting him arrested (unless Paterno wanted to keep things quiet so that his legacy wasn't ruined). However, if Paterno didn't believe McQueary, then he wouldn't have allowed McQueary to stay on his team knowing that he wasn't to be trusted. So what's the deal?
