felt it was proper to not stop sandusky when he saw him raping a kid in the locker room, and that he also felt it was proper to merely tell joepa what he saw and leave it at that.

that isn't adding up and McQuery is right in the middle. He's got a lot of questions that need to be answered, as does JoePa. McQuery was one of two people that witnessed these acts and didn't stop it and it's just mind boggling to me that he didn't.

I love how people keep saying we shouldn't jump to any conclusions about McQueary as if there is any sane and rational reasoning behind allowing a child to brutally get raped when you had the power to save that defenseless child. Really? It's as black and white of a situation as you can get! That ginger fuck of a coward showed his true character in allowing such brutality to continue when he could have shown basic humanity! It's not even a question what he should have done. To think otherwise shows absolute lack of human decency.

I think they made it pretty clear that he didn't stop anything. He ran when both pedofuck and the child saw that he was there, which to any normal human would be the perfect time to stop what he is witnessing.

I agree with that question. How can he life with himself? How can you not run and try to break the neck of a man doing that to a child? You know those moments that people have, usually in self defense, when they just lose their mind and go on the attack with no thought in their mind about the law or what would happen if they accidentally killed someone during their fit of rage? How could that not be one of those moments?

Mcquerey did exactly what he was 'supposed' to do, he felt it was proper to keep it 'in house', and the fact that joepa and psu did exactly that proves that what mquerey did was what joepa and psu wanted him to do.
The question, to me is, why didn't mquerey know what to do (ie try to stop the crime and call the police)?

He testified that after he saw what he saw he went to his office and called his daddy and daddy told him to "leave the building" and come to his house. There daddy and grad student decided to report the crime to Paterno, not the police, "promptly". "Promptly" was the next day.

this same kind of thing happened at my first job out of college...one of my co-workers went back to our office late one night bc he forgot something, and walked by a room in which one of the low-level managers was performing an "act" on a young boy.

My co-worker went straight to his office and called the police. By the time they got there, the manager was gone. He was arrested at his home a couple hours later, and is still in prison.

The story came out that the manager had several young boys as victims, and was a little league coach and very active with youth programs in the area - the stereotypical nightmare.

My co-worker was 22 at the time, and the manager was mid-30s and a strange dude at that, so I never really questioned why he didn't stop it himself - but he did what any right-minded human being would do - he called the cops immediately.

I can only imagine how many other kids were protected b/c my co-worker did the right thing that night.

If McQuery or Paterno or any of these other clowns had any honor or integrity or guts, how many kids might they have saved?

I was apprehensive when I married a ginger that we'd have ginger kids. Luckily, being in a mixed relationship, my Italian heritage counteracted the ginger genes and we produced two kids with blond hair and blue eyes.

Some story does not add up. McQueary is still employed by Penn State. I think they have completely handled this incredibly poor just this week alone but they have more information than us but there must be a lot more to the story why he still is employed as there is no way that they could possibly withhold the truth right now. I'm 95% sure that McQueary is an absolute coward and when you say that a grown 'man' didn't stop this, I struggle with using the word 'man' in his case.

I am trying to refrain from judgement until the story comes out. If by small chance he had been abused previously, I would feel incredibly bad with a rush to judgement.

It will take months if not years to find out what happened and that is why I'm convinced that the season should not be played. What if they have fired Paterno for his non-action but their new head coach who has been there for years, committed more egregious offenses and they have to fire him next week? There is nothing to gain from playing these games.
