Despite Abraham's statements that he deserves $12 million/year, he ended up signing a three year deal worth "about $16 million." More specifically, Abraham got a $2.25 million signing bonus, base salaries of $1.5 million (2012), $3.25 million (2013) and $3.25 million (2014), along with "about $7 million" of per-game roster bonuses if he's healthy and playing.
I absolutely LOVE this deal as a roadmap to extending Osi. Abraham is older, but has been marginally more productive than Osi the past 2-3 years.
It may be wishful thinking that Osi would ever sign something like this, but it would provide great comfort to have out #3 pass-rushing stud tied up for another 3-4 years!

The question I have is can they extend Osi and not Tuck?
How many forced fumbles has he had the last 2 years? Those are game changing and momentum changing plays.
I'm for trading Osi if the price is right or if he doesn't want to play here. (ala Shockey)
But there is no question that he is a game changer. His strip sack of Rodgers saved a TD and helped never allow GB to feel it had a chance to win the game
I just don't think he'd sign that type of contract for us.
I hope I'm wrong
At their respective bests I'd take Osi, even better he's younger. We just don't know if a comparable contract will be enough to satisfy him. If not, I'm still ok with trading him.
