Saw this on NFL Network and found it online. So sad, hard not to shed a tear watching this. This video of Seau playing ukulele was taken just a couple of weeks ago at USC. Link - ( New Window )
also the interviews of seau's mom and marcellus wiley were pretty emotional.
but i have a question..and maybe this was discussed in the other Seau thread..
Why was this initially being investigated as a suicide? Wasn't he shot in the chest? And didn't his GF, whom with he had domestic disputes with in the past, make the 911 call?
But I do not want to see tribute videos for a man who took his own life and left three children without a father. The focus needs to be on educatating people to reach out for help. Not honoring those who destroy their own families....that said may he Rest in Peace
I won't crucify you but I will disagree with your post.
First off, as far as I know it hasn't been confirmed that it was a suicide. I've heard several players say that they'd just seen Seau recently and that he looked very happy with his life (Jerry Rice said he'd just seen him Monday). But even if that was the case...that doesn't mean he was just putting on a smiley face to those guys when deep down he wasn't happy at all.
Secondly, you have no idea what that man was going through. It's very easy for you, or any of us, to sit here and slam the guy for taking his own life (if that's what happened) but all you and we'd be really doing is showing a lot of ignorance. You can't judge that man when you have no idea of what was going on in his life.
I just don't agree with it. You are right I have no idea what he was going through. But imo, there is nothing that excuses leaving your children without a father. Obviously he mentally was not healthy and while I do not judge him in the sense of I would bash him, I would not honor him either. I would take the chance to focus on helping people who are in that dark place and teachthem ways to reach out for help.
Never once said I wanted to dishonor those who wanted to honor him. Its a BB so I can certainly post that opinion and I don't give a rats ass what you think either...but your entitled to your opinion.

Nobody is forcing you to view it.

There are three groups of peple wrt this:
Group #1: people who don't want to honor him, because he committed suicide.
Group #2: people who believe he should be honored and will participate.
The only really disgusting group is group #3: those who want to dishonor those in group #2.
