It was amazing because after the second practice on Saturday which ended the rookie camps, coach Coughlin separated the drafted guys from the undrafted guys.
We took a knee and an NFL guy was talking to us, letting us know that they thanked us for coming out, telling us to stay ready, best of luck, basically a thanks for playing speech. And then coach Coughlin came over and was letting everybody know thanks for coming. While he was up there talking to us, I was thinking “‘This can’t be it.” I didn’t want to be back at the hotel stressing out.
After the talked for a few minutes, he ended the huddle and we said “Team” on 3.
As we dispersed, I took one step back, and turned around and one of the Giants scouts had his hand out, and said, “Jake, we love you, you had a great camp, we want to sign you.” I shook his hand, gave him a big old hug and put him back down. He said, “Call your agent.”
Some of the other guys overheard that, as soon as he said that I sprinted to the locker room. I got to the lockerroom and called my agent, called my family.
Chase, Hertz, and Jones really ahead of him on the depth chart he's got a shot. If he can kick ass on specials I can see him taking Jones' spot without blinking an eye at the thought.
I hope he makes the team. Love his style of play and work ethic. I can see him on ST or on the practice squad to start out and then hopefully he makes his way to the team.
Loved his going to Phillipianes 4:13 to get him through.
But I am pleasantly suprised by the number of born again Christians on this team currently or just recently .
Here is the list I have counted so far:
Blackburn
Tyree
Hixon
Terrel Thomas
Mckensie (who spoke at our church)
Tuck and Rolle have been going to the bible studies according to Kareem
Charlie Way ( who leads the program that helps these guys off the field
Jerry Reese who also spoke at one if my friends churches
...Joe, you're entitled to your beliefs, but a lot of us here are entitled not to have them thrown in our faces. I guess this is your new hobby horse. It's pretty pathetic that guys like you will deliberately bring this stuff up just to get attention.
Actually I have heard most of them have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Hence the term born again. Tuck and Rolle have been going to the Bible studies but dont know if they have accepted Christ.
Anyways continue with your obsession of trying to contradict whatever I say.
And some of them have testimonies posted on the net Â
it's possible. A close friend of mine by the name of Brother Ross invited me to a Nation of Islam meeting back in the late 80's/early 90's. I went to the meeting but I didn't accept the Grafted Devil Theory so I didn't come back. So maybe Tuck and Rolle are going bible study without accepting Jesus Christ, thus making what Jersey Joe said logical.
seriously why do we have to deal with this guy... Â
"You agree to use The Forum only to post messages and material that are proper. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using The Forum, you will not distribute, upload, link to, or publish anything that: ...

This was a good thread until Jersey Joe came along.
You all need to convert over to my religion, Cammunism.
We're pretty lax on rules for the most part, and our tithe is only 4% of your earnings.
Best of all, though- I guarantee that no matter what, when you die you will go to paradise. 100% money back guarantee. If you don't all you have to do is come back and I will return your tithes...with 15% interest to boot.
Is it any surprise that an asswipe like JJ has to rely on the existence of a character whose existence is tenuous and unprovable (in either direction) for love?
again. JJ gets to push this stuff about a guy who created an and woman with original sin, then impregnated a woman with himself to be born. And then, once alive, he killed himself as a sacrifice to himself to save everyone from the sin he originally condemned people to? Sounds like a Ponzi scheme.....and magic.
And it doesn't belong on a football board.
About the only things I can tell are that you are very poor at football analysis, you pound the same points home over and over again in the face of overwhelming evidence and effective argumentation against the points you are failing to make, and you believe that if you say something enough times that people will eventually believe it is true.
At least now I see where some of that stubborness is derived from.
I feel the countdown to the yearly thread where you tell us about your physical woes is about to zero.
Why is it that I was banned for my transgressions but JJ has now shit all over 2 threads in the past 3 days with this crap and has been warned both times.
Just curious as to why I was not afforded the same courtesy of a warning that's been issued to JJ.
It was more tongue in cheek than anything. We're not always consistent day-to-day, that's not a big secret. We're human. Yes, I banned you and I'm giving Joe a warning. It's certainly not because I prefer Joe to you or what Joe's saying to what you were saying. It's because I'm logging on during a quick break at work, saw his post, and that was my initial reaction.
You did just imply that you held Wuphat to a different set of rules because he knows better. That is kinda messed up. JerseyJoe actually should know better, too, but I highly doubt he's going to anytime soon. And I fully expect his bullshit to continue to spew around here
Wup had one "outburst" (if you want to call it that), while JJ has had multiple ones with the religious stuff. Both sides of the aisle should be allowed or none.
@JerseyJoe...
Cool Papa B. : 4:01 pm
You can add Jake Muasau to that list of NY Giants who are born-again Christians. God bless you and run the good race!
One person makes a sexist joke of a comment that no woman on the board was offended by, and here is someone like JJ who repeatedly throws in his beliefs and pisses off many people. The first person gets banned, JJ remains. Many are offended that they have to read his religious tidbits on a board and in a thread dedicated to football. it was uncalled for and ignorance is no excuse.
What I believe is that JJ has now across two threads in four days (that I have seen) has repeatedly spewed his religious crap despite multiple people requesting that he cease with no sanctions other than a warning (which we all know does nothing) while I was just banned outright for one instance of doing the opposite without a warning.
Sorry if that comes across as bitter, but your decision making reminds me of Brandon Shanahan this offseason.
A) This is the first thread I've seen it on. I wasn't on BBI this weekend, I was barely on yesterday.
B) Unlike Shanahan, not every line of BBI policy is codified. There are general rules. We've tried, in the past, to outright ban people who crossed boundaries, without any distinction. It didn't work. This is a constantly evolving thing that will always be imperfect, because there is not one single person sitting down and reading over every thread and developing policy accordingly. There will be discrepencies in punishments. It's going to happen. It's not because of a double-standard, it's because we deal with a myriad of issues on a day-to-day basis, the vast majority of which you never see or hear about, which means that when I see something like Jersey Joe on this thread and make a snap decision, I'm not always going to instantly remember your situation. Same with any other moderator.
3) Your constant use of "no offense" is the most insulting part of your posts. Own it, or don't.
Now you sound like Kyle just making up new definitions to words as you see fit.
I get that you guys have a thankless job. And generally, you guys take way more shit than is necessary. But that doesn't negate or invalidate my perception from where I'm sitting.
I believe you when you say all of what you did in your 2nd point. As I said, I had a gripe. I aired it.
the gmen should be more religiously diverse. bring in josh scobee (buddhist), the safety abdullah on the vikings for some islam and sage rosenfels as the third stringer for some Judiasm. I think it would result in a more diverse and mutually rewarding lockerrom.
dubs - he shouldn't be here on account of a thread from Saturday Â
(I was reading it on my phone - I don't think it survived the night) where he talked about the sin of homosexuality & judgement under god etc etc. Same vainglorious bullshit he always spews - I wouldn't think BBI wants an association with his bigoted way of life, but Wuphat should know better.
You're motivations in your most recent comments are anything but sincere. If you really are a Christian and take those beliefs seriously, you should be ashamed of yourself.
affirmatively reaches out to ruin the football-related side of BBI for others, and does so by means including religion. You shouldn't tolerate this. Most other people are just being clowns at times (including me) but Joe is both a hypocrite and spoils BBI for other people.
I also join in these comments:
The double standard lies within something like this

Im good, thanks for asking. Just been busy the past couple months with work and my daughter has about 11 different doctors she sees so sometimes the schedule can get pretty full!
BB'56 - She was born with Prader Willi Syndrome so she just has to see a bunch of different specialists so they can monitor her condition. She is doing really fantastic though, considering the circumstances. Shes an awesome little girl. :-)
I guess this thread is still alive because the mods find it interesting, right?
So be it, let's have some fun.
Jesus got some love, the son of God, not the guy your step daughter is dating. Cool.
Blowjobs are good. Cool.
Football and religion does not mix, or shouldn't mix. Cool.
Individuality, not so good.
Expressing individuality, very bad.
Expressing spirituality. What the hell is that?
Pastafarianism, no love. Why?
Why no love, he has performed as many miracles this week as the guy your step daughter is dating.
Keep it light guys, its the dead space between all that is Giants.
As an aside, take a look in the mirror. That person you see is responsible for all your triumphs, and failures. You would not be here if that person in the mirror did not keep fighting to achieve the good and minimize the bad in his life. He is looking back at you, and he believes in you...
(Some I don't agree with), but most very thoughtful; they very often don't follow the "BBI Line", that makes them refreshing.
When it comes to religion, I'm not sure where you're coming from. Do you celebrate the believers or are you just plain "Bible Thumping" everybody else ?
It's been my experience here. that, basically everybody (as crazy & goofy as they act) here is very decent. I've seen where many have asked for prayer at difficult times - the response is always overwhelmingly supportive and positive.
I'm happy to see that this kid is a professing believer. Although I fall pitifully short every day, I like the goal set before us in Matthew 5:16:
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in Heaven"
I think the first person to really understand my eccentricity was my 7th grade Language Arts teacher. She said of my best friend and me - "Royce & Manny, they're No Good". I've been smiling since.
Otherwise they're like night and day ... This kid I can easily root for ...

Half the guys on that list aren't born again. They are simply Christians.

Nothing more smarmy than posting shit like that and trying to ascertain somebody's beliefs.
This is low even for a fuckwad like Joe.
If you believe the words of the Holy Bible, Accepting Jesus is central to our salvation.
Jesus is the greatest single act of love in the history of mankind.
Accepting him allows us to pass from being judged by the Law but to enter into eternal grace.
•is politically partisan or religious"
This was a good thread until Jersey Joe came along.
Just kidding! ;)
And, Joe, many biblical scholars intrepet "anothen" to mean "born from above" rather than "born again".
Wittey retort: "Chosen for what?"

Our other one did good things for us.
Jake's are good.
FREE THE JAKE!!!
My vote goes to blowjobs being the greatest single act of love.
Now, I know there's a joke in there somewhere...
Keep it to yourself.
And it doesn't belong on a football board.
All of these guys we are signing with questionable character can just become born-again and let their lawlessness fade away!!
Maybe Pac-Man Jones is doing an homage to God by making it rain as the dollars fall from heaven!!

I seldom get stared at that long.
And people rarely play with me for long periods of time.

Call me Stubickle.
That will just allow him to use it as some kind of allegory to martyrdom.
