that wanted to fight a guy who was wearing a Giants Superbowl Ring at a Golf Tournament that wasn't on the team, but had bought it in an auction like this...
I don't know if I'm remembering the story correctly, but I believe something like that happened.
guys remember in 2008 when one of the players lost their ring and some random guy found it and posted on the Internet about it? I believe it was eventually returned to the player but crazy story.
but no less saddened to see this. The league should hire him to visit each year's rookie class, to lecture on how not to run your affairs as an NFL player.
Say it will always belong to LT (with a legal caveat that he may never sell the ring, nor remove it from the NYG's premises unless he buys it back lol.) one of the greatest Giants ever!
well, that ring is clearly $89,000+ out of my poor-ass price range...
Now if I was a millionaire I would buy it and give it back to LT, on the condition he take a bunch of us out to dinner and tell us every crazy story of his life. (and sign a bunch of our crap....)
Mark he would love that and throw in a round of golf
ashamed that he has to sell this ring......I met him with Banks at Carl's charity golf outing...signed a football for me and my girls...funny and likes having a good time..obviously
sad to see

But I own a Nissan Altima.
On the other hand......I'm still just an awestruck kid after all these years and it just plain sucks.
LT, Meggett, and Ingram have tarnished my memory of that championship team a little bit.
Of course, it would probably be smart to make him agree never to sell it again before giving it to him.
The perpetual lesson, as always...be careful who you put on a pedestal

with the sentiment that it'd be great if it ended up on dispay at the NFL Hall of Fame or Giants Stadium version; but that's likely not to happen.
Pawn Stars anyone?
Really sad to see.
