Hynoski and the steeler game

conigs : 11/10/2012 8:12 pm
I posted a few days ago about the steeler sideline picking up on a trend that hynoski does on every run play. It was aired on the tv show Turning Point with Dan Patrick on NBC sports network. In watching it again a few times i was finally able to make out the garbled audio as it was very hard to hear. The steelers picked up that hynoski pats the right or left side of his butt on pass plays. I presume to tell Bradshaw which way he will be blocking due to the defensive setup on each play. When he does not tap it's a run play. Apparently in the audio the steeler sideline said he does this 100% of the time. Will be interesting to watch and see if this is corrected for tomorrow.. Amazing that this type of thing went unnoticed by our staff for something that gives the defense such a huge advantage. Makes you wonder if other teams picked up on it too... Just something to keep an eye on tomorrow.
beat writers (looking at you pat)

Why would the defense be able to stop us just because they know 100% what we were going to do?

Oh wait a minute.... See Goal line issues, last 4 years

like a sign Hynoski, Bradshaw and maybe the other RBs worked out themselves. Could that be possible? I am sure it will not happen again after all this talk.
Probably not much to it

I watched the Giants' snaps for the first half (then I got bored). I saw a grand total of 1 tap, and it was a pass play. Complete to Cruz for 26 yards.

10 other plays with Hynoski, and no pats.

What does it mean? Maybe in certain circumstances, Hynoski pats his butt, and maybe when he does it, then it is a pass. But I can pretty much say that no pat does not mean run. Maybe in that one circumstance, no pat means run, but I don't think Hynoski is tipping off the entire offensive scheme.
or the coaches could have told him
