We are seeking input from fans on who the candidates should be for this year's "BBI Giant of the Year" voting. To be clear, we are not collecting votes right now - just feedback on who should be on the poll.
The "BBI Giant of the Year” award is given to the Giants’ player, coach, or member of the front office who most contributed to the team’s success on the field in a given year. The vote is held at the end of each season by members of the BBI community and the award is presented at a ceremony on the practice fields during training camp. For a list of previous winners, see the
BBI Giant of the Year section of the website.
Here is a list of candidates we are considering. Please feel free to suggest additions or deletions to this list.
Head Coach Tom Coughlin: Moved past Bill Parcells into second place as the Giants' winningest coach (83 regular-season wins, eight post-season wins).
QB Eli Manning: Not as good as 2011, but Manning still threw for 3,948 yards and 26 touchdowns.
RB Ahmad Bradshaw: Bradshaw had his second best season ever as a Giant, rushing for 1,015 yards on 221 attempts (4.6 yards per carry). Tough guy who did this despite playing on a foot that once again needed offseason surgery. (Downside is he would not be present for training camp ceremony).
WR Victor Cruz: Not as good as 2011, but Cruz still caught more passes in 2012 (86) and touchdowns (10) than he did in 2011. Finished with 1,092 yards. (Downside is he may not be present for training camp ceremony if he is holding out).
S Antrel Rolle: He finished with a team-high 96 tackles. Rolle also had two interceptions, one forced fumble, and five pass defenses.
S Stevie Brown: Brown had the most interceptions in a single season by a Giant in 44 years. Brown played in all 16 games, started 11, and finished with 76 tackles, 11 pass defenses, eight interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
In the unlikely event of a tie, we would have a run off.
also for scoring the winning TD in last yers Super Bowl.
He played hurt all year. If TIKI had his heart and desire he
would be in the HOF.
