Old news. I'd be surprised if Pugh holds out -- he did say at the end of minicamp that he intended to be on camp on time, so it could be that this is just another stare down that boils down to nothing.
Nassib's contract holdup, last I heard, was reportedly over splits in the contract.
Picks #17 to #22 will have only a partially guaranteed salary in the 4th year of their deals. Jason Fitzgerald from overthecap.com did a great job breaking this down in the article I linked below on my blog entry on May 11th, but I'm going to link it again for it's outstanding informational value:
The issue with splits with Nassib will also be an interesting sticking point.
Jason points out in the subsection of the article above titled "Split Salaries" that players drafted in the 4th round, like Nassib "should fight hard to for only having a split salary in 2013 rather than both years. Doesn’t mean it will happen but its worth an extra day or two of fighting with the team." Nassib's agent will argue for a split in one year--2013 only, whereas the Giants will argue for two years--both 2013 and 2014.
Check out the figures for the salary splits below: Â
Says "This year, every contract in front of Pugh is fully guaranteed, for all four years. In fact, the player taken immediately in front of Pugh, 49ers safety Eric Reid, got a fully-guaranteed deal with no offset language." WTF. If true, why should Pugh be the first guy this draft to get not all guaranteed? Go ahead. Screw it up. Cut him or whatever.

(Get it? Cause his arms are too short? )
It'll be a big F-you to scouts/writers who take off points for having normal length arms.
