From today's WSJ, a map showing the % of Giants fans vs. Jets fans in all the counties in Greater NYC. My only question is what's wrong with Staten Island? BTW, the map's expandable.
I have always thought of Westchester County being the crown jewel of the tri-state area and most of the people I have met from there are classy Giants fans.
Not to mention the Mara family stronghold throughout the county (some of the Tisch contingent resides in Westchester as well).
The results weren't pretty for New York's junior NFL chapter

because it uses Facebook clicks on the home team page to gauge support. Facebook users are generally younger than average. The largest demographic that doesn't use FB are the senior citizens, and they came of age when the Giants were the only team in town and really good (in the 40s and 50s)
I see more giants bars than jets by the casual eye. But I know much more jets fans though and rarely pass by the southern part of the island with all the rich white folks
from them playing in the Yale Bowl how New Haven leads the entire area by a sizable margin, including the Bronx where they had played for a much longer time and all the NJ counties, where they currently have now played in for years.
The Jets base has always been LI. NJ, NYC, NY state had always been Giants.
CT has very few Jets fans, there are more Pats fans and in fact once you go past New Haven you run into those Sox Giants mixers.
Even in Bridgeport there are more Pats than Jets.

The Jets haven't won or been to a Super Bowl since Johnson was president.
CT has very few Jets fans, there are more Pats fans and in fact once you go past New Haven you run into those Sox Giants mixers.
