"...no talks btw 2 sides expected until after Wk 1" means they don't want to guarantee his salary for the full year. Zbikowski is a vested vet. No point committing his full salary when better options may emerge.
If Moore, Murphy, Hosely, Cruz, Webster can rest all of this week/weekend, than practice fully next week....we should be in good shape for Game 1. You would have Diehl and Baas probbaly OUT and JPP questionable. Overall, that's not bad.

get to see him behind an OL that resembles something other than swiss cheese, he spent the 4th quarter of the first two preseason games running for his life and getting blasted for it.
along a little too quickly? We need him badly, but I want to make sure he is 100% healthy and ready to play even if it means his missing the first couple of games. If he gets injured in practice now I'm going to be really pissed. Seems a little soon for him to be jumping into 11 on 11 drills and getting banged around already.
The trainers make the call if a player can return to practice.
JPP is their most important defensive player coming off a very serious injury. I highly doubt they're rushing him. They're going to be as cautious as they need to be. If he felt good enough to jump into 11v11's today, that's great. He wouldn't have if he wasn't feeling ready to.
