the Patriots had on offense when they went for the TD? It's kind of like an unwritten rule you take a knee there isn't it. I've always admired BB because he came from the Giants coaching tree but that ticked me off especially where he and TC are supposedly good friends. Of course BB has been known to run up scores. Maybe that's why BB and dipshit from Tampa Bay get along so good.Notice TC did the right thing with 4 seconds. He conceded the game to not risk anyone getting hurt in a desperate attempt to force overtime.
Typical bush league stuff from the Patriots.
...and at 9:04am this morning when I wrote this:
(12) Refs missed a huge call down the stretch. With about 2 mins. to play, Painter threw a deep sideline pass to either Hardy or Talley. If not under-thrown, it's a 6 and maybe a win for the Giants. In any event, the Pats defender never turned around, and as the Giants receiver slowed down to catch the ball he was whacked by the CB's arm BEFORE the ball got there. No call... and no big deal in pre-season. But if that was a regular season game, we would all be howling for weeks;
Teams regularly kneel on the ball at the end of preseason games, especially the 4th game. Coughlin's Giants do it all of the time.
It's preseason, they probably feel their guys can use all the work possible, I don't take offense, more concern that are guys couldn't stop it.
But haven't we all seen Tom Brady throwing the ball out of the shot gun with the Patriots up by three scores the 4th quarter of a football game?
Getting worked up about a team throwing the football at the end of a preseason game and scoring just isn't something I'm interested in.
Maybe Terrence Frederick should have just timed his jump better and knocked the ball down.
Besides, maybe BB felt he'd give Tebow one more last play in the NFL.
yawn...next
The end of 2nd half guys most of those guys are probably not on as much of a hot seat.
Again... see Tom Coughlin doing something similar... let me put my kicker in a big game situation... kick us into overtime of the 3rd preseason game.
The games don't matter and studying your players is more important than a win but every coach would still like to walk away with a win if they can.
Lord knows the Giants could have used as many as those opportunities as possible this preseason.
It would've been a push had they simple taken a knee. If you are a degenerate and took them last night, that last play won you a few bucks.
That happened.
