What are some "forgotten" Giants players you think about?

miley42289 : 9/4/2013 8:32 pm
Remember Curtis Delotach? What ever happened to Charles Stackhouse? Anthony Mix anyone?

For some reason I remember "Curry Burns" ...He had an INT during the last game of the 2004 season (Eli's first win)

was a pretty good receiver and made some big plays for the Giants....now sure why he didn't stick around until the first SB.

Particularly made some huge plays in 1984.

How about Jerry Golsteyn? (QB - '76 - '78)

Turns out my son lives next door to him outside of Fayetteville, NC. Whenever my wife and I visit our son and his family, I always come up with an excuse to go next door and chat with Jerry for a few minutes.

Pete Athas gave me his chin strap as a souvenir at the Yale Bowl. First guy I remember with hair coming out of the back of his his helmet. Norm Sneed was qb that year.

vs the Rams...Willie Ponder gave me a wrist band as the players were walking through the tunnel. i gave it to some little kid. Shook ol Archie's hand that game too. The first real "monster" game of Eli's career with 4 TDs and 0 INTs.

A lone wolf of talent, and a what-might-have-been.
Also the infamous Henry Carr and Clarence Childs(aka: Where's-the-receiver? 1 and 2).

fired:

Beside Campbell and Orduna, that memorable squad had Dan Goich and Joe Taffoni.

1973 and 1966 had to be the worst years to be a Giant fan.
I miss Chris Calloway

Rosenthal had that bullshit "holding" penalty called on him that got a TD taken off the board at home vs the Eagles in 2002. Same with #69....

Three guys...

Lionel Manuel... an awesome possession WR for us in the 80's. I also played flag football against him after he retired.

Larry Flowers - he was absolutely the BEST defensive special teams player we ever had. Yes... better than Thompson.

Doug Kotar - our RB in the late 70's. RIP Doug who probably got poisoned by the water at the Meadowlands.
