but Reese is doing his due diligence to be sure that they have options lined up in case of another injury back there. Rolle hurt is groin this week and who knows if that becomes an issue which could cause him to miss time at some point. The Giants have Taylor back there, but he's not ready for prime time at all. They don't have Hill back until Week 5. If they need a veteran to slot in there quickly, Rhodes would make sense.
level (which is what I doubt), who really cares about his "drama?"
If anything, he was a victim and possibly outed against his wishes and if teams are holding that against them, that speaks incredibly low for them, not him.
Some teams, and the Giants are one of them, pay a significant amount of attention to a player's character, the company they keep, the drama that tends to follow them, because they're working to keep the locker room solid.
but rather the consistent talk that he was more interested in farming opportunities away from football than he was in playing football, and the talk of consistently inconsistent preparation and focus, etc.
Completely ok with the tryout and hopeful signing, but I don't think Rhodes has "come out." I think all the hubbub was caused by an article on deadspin, not because of any big announcement by Rhodes. Regardless, the guy is a veteran players, who hits like a ton of bricks, has played with Rolle, and would be a nice presence on the field who comes cheap.
rumors surfaced bc the blogosphere picked up on shirtless pics of him shirtlessly frolicking with other shirtless dudes not at an a NFL facility, and having male companions or something.
these rumors? I never heard anything about Rhodes' sexuality being "questioned" until now.
The Giants shouldn't care if he's gayer than a Bruno Mars song... well wait, that's going too far. But if he's just gayer than the Top Gun volleyball scene it shouldn't matter.
Rated as a top 5 Safety on PFF last year? I could care less if he likes pussy, dick or both. If he can cover the deep pass and force turnovers I would be more then happy with him.
But if we sign him, this is the ideal franchise to have a gay player. This team has maturity and a coaching staff and ownership that would create/foster a nurturing environment based in merit, not sexual preference. If he still has football talent, I'm all for bringing him in.
once Hill and Rhodes are there. Play 6 DBs, 2 corners and 4 safties, Rolle, Mundy, Hill and Rhodes. On passing downs, replace two of the safties with Thomas and Hosley.
They have clearly shown they have no use for LBs anyway.

Yeah - that's a tad more important
Some care, some don't, it is what it is.
It would appear that Ross' exile in Jax(his choice) has certainly turned him in to quite the determined player-at least as of now..
Rhodes' non-signing "exile" might very well do the same..
Stay tuned
I say welcome aboard Kerry. This team needs players that can really carry a heavy load on their back.

Using rolle in the front like a fake LB is probably a better option than giving Herzlich ANY playing time at all.
