How much stronger are we expecting him to get? He has a small frame and small arms. He will not be getting much bigger at all. The one thing that sticks out is how small he looks out there. There are TE's that look bigger. He doesn't get any push at all on his defenders. ZERO. I can't think of any situation where he can be our starting RT for the next 3-4 years or for the remainder of the contract.
Hate to sound so negative but it doesn't look like a good pick at all.
I wanted to go OL the first two rounds, but at the second pick there wasn't an OLman ranked high on the board, so Hankins was the pick......
We need OL help next year via the draft or FAcy.....we need two, and maybe 3 new starters...

Let me catch you up real quick here:
The season is already over for us and were supposed to be thinking about the 2014 draft.
65 William Beatty OT 6-6 319
72 Justin Pugh OT 6-4 301
66 David Diehl OT 6-5 304
76 Chris Snee OG 6-3 305
77 Kevin Boothe OG 6-5 320
73 James Brewer OG 6-6 330
67 Brandon Mosley OG 6-5 318
64 David Baas OC 6-4 312
63 Jim Cordle OC 6-3 320
I have watched Pugh and I have been pleasantly surprised. For a rookie, he doesn't make many mental mistakes: holds, offsides, or obvious wrong assignments. He doesn't get out-quicked by DEs and overall does a good job in pass protection--his weakness is the bull rush. He will never be a mauler type and move people out with ease, but he will be able to pull and get to the second level. In today's game, that probably is more important.

You seem to be writing him off after 2 games, which quite frankly has to be criticized as stupid, no matter if you have a valid point about his play or not. He has been starting for roughly one month, did you expect a finished product on a disjointed offensive already?
He may move inside, it's entirely possible he's Snees replacement but for now he's our RT and doing a fair job, certainly better than what we had last year.
That being said, I think Pugh has been very solid. He's been one of the better performers on our OL through 2 games.
