Prince Amukamara After The Dwayne Bowe Salsa...

AD-Blaze : 9/30/2013 10:59 am
In the midst of what was another disappointing Sunday of New York Giants Football I took a good bit of satisfaction seeing Prince run over to Bowe and giving him a piece of his mind in the endzone after the Bowe's salsa dance. I can only imagine what Prince may have said, but I'm sure it wasn't him asking how the Bowe family is doing. Prince tends to catch a whole lot of flack on these boards but I will say this, the kid is becoming a favorite of mines. I'm not basing that off of him getting in Bowe's face for doing the salsa dance, but his overall play this year has been outstanding. He's fast, physical and doesn't shy away from contact at all. Kudos to Prince so far for what has been a pretty shitty football season so far.

I was more impressed by Prince, you know, covering his man.
vibe4giants : 9/30/2013 12:58 pm : link
Squaring his shoulders, keeping his man in front him. You know, playing his position well.

Look at me with all my crazy talk about plays actually relevant to the outcome of the game, as opposed to some chirping a guy did after we went down by 4 touchdowns. How can I not see that for the meaningful, important moment it was? Because that's definitely the kind of thing the Giants were talking about in the locker room after the game?

But it's me who is looking at things in a confused way?

Hey, if this is making your own emotions easier to deal with...
You are taking a small thing to an unreasonable level.
Britt in VA : 9/30/2013 1:00 pm : link
IMO.

You had to come on here and talk down to people that liked it?

For what purpose exactly. My emotions are just fine. I feel like one of the few rational people on the board today, to be honest.
Yeah, how could someone watch yesterday's game
vibe4giants : 9/30/2013 1:00 pm : link
and not think of the halcyon days of Lawrence Taylor? I mean, the parallels between '13 and '86 are so obvious.
Funny, because I think you are the one taking the small thing
vibe4giants : 9/30/2013 1:04 pm : link
to unreasonable level. As you are the one fighting for the significance of the small, meaningless moment. And I'm just saying it was a small, meaningless moment.

Plus didn't you say you were going to leave this alone, like, 4 posts ago? Isn't that kind of the definition of can't-let-it-go?

There are any number of threads in which people are expressing optimism. And for reasons more logical than this. And yet you keep coming back here. That's on me, too?
I just went back and re-read the thread, just to be sure.
Britt in VA : 9/30/2013 1:05 pm : link
I would urge you to do the same.
I read it the first time.
vibe4giants : 9/30/2013 1:08 pm : link
Thanks.

Very good corner. Definitely a building block in the defensive backfield.
Vibe is really on point here.

Although I imagine it will continue to be missed on an 0-4 BBI.

Yeah, that's something alright.

if you have a canned celebratory act, don't be surprised if you see it when things don't go well

Liked Prince's play yesterday - that was impressive.
I would have been impressed

if someone went after their TE after his cut blocks.
Britt and the OP are on to something
Modus Operandi : 9/30/2013 3:04 pm : link
Rookie hazing is the reason why Prince is playing so well. We should be dunking every draft pick in an ice bath. Their family too.

Hazing = wins. Except when it doesnt.

Congrats to vibe. Solid work on this thread.
What a stupid argument
chris r : 9/30/2013 3:21 pm : link
Would you rather or rather not have seen Prince do what he did? I can't imagine. Anyone saying rather not and so it has to be seen as a positive, no matter how small.
I liked it
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/30/2013 3:54 pm : link
Don't care if it doesn't make an impact on the game, I still like that he decided to defend Cruz. I don't get why everything has to be performance related for someone to like something. No one is claiming that Prince getting in Bowes face is better than winning the game or preventing the TD in the first place.
'I still like that he decided to defend Cruz.'
schabadoo : 9/30/2013 4:00 pm : link
Do people actually see it as that?

Seemed like he was complaining about copying a stupid dance.
Yes, copying a dance
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/30/2013 4:03 pm : link
That Cruz does. Hence, the defending of Cruz.

Holy shit...
He wasn't defending Victor.
vibe4giants : 9/30/2013 4:05 pm : link
Victor was on the sidelines.

He was objecting to someone doing Victor's little dance.

He was objecting to winners having fun winning.

On their home field.

Because that is legitimately objectionable?

Because Giants pride isn't about winning. It's about individual's TD celebrations. Which are, of course, sacred.
Holy shit
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/30/2013 4:09 pm : link
We get it. The Giants lost. No one is arguing that Prince getting in Bowes face was changing the game. It's just good to see some anger/emotion and a guy not looking lifeless when we're down several TDs. Not once in the OP did he say that it changed the game in any way, shape, or form...you just feel the need to state it 20 times on this thread that it doesn't.
Being a "sore loser" is often a good thing in sports...
GloryDayz : 9/30/2013 4:15 pm : link
You dont want players that are "ok" with losing... players that will han their heads and just walk off.

Nobody wants a dirty player, but players should be pissed and act a little "uncivil", for a lack of a better word.

I dont often agree with Carl Banks, but after the Carolina loss, he was very open critisizing the team, said something like he's surprised nobody from the Giants picked a fight with a Panthers player... to him, as an ex-player, the players "didnt care", hence all the "players quit" stuff attributed to him.

So yeah, Prince getting in Bowe's face is a good thing in my book.
Hahahaha, oh wow

I wish our TEs knew how to cutblock.
I took it as Prince being irritated by a lack of sportsmanship by Bowe

who didn't do shit all day until garbage time vs. a 5th string corner.

I didn't think it had anything to do with Cruz...but I don't know, maybe Prince said otherwise?

Are part of Football fun its a game remember ..
Kudos to Prince for sticking up for the Team ......
Remember Homer Jones a Giants great kinda started all this .
Emlen Tunnell also did a flip of the football I think ..
Anyways when we were hammering teams and Cruz was doing
the damage your gonna tell me you had a problem with it
go fuck yourselves...

I guess that gif is telling us that Prince isn't trying as much or fighting for his teammates...
It's like he doesn't even care about Cruz's dance right then.
vibe4giants : 10/7/2013 11:32 pm : link
He just quit.

:(
so its come to this

Is that gif supposed to prove anything
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/7/2013 11:37 pm : link
Or are you going to continue on proving the point that no one on this thread has made and say that Prince getting in someones face won't change the outcome of a game?
Transparent strawman is transparent.
vibe4giants : 10/7/2013 11:45 pm : link
That's right. Nobody said it had anything to do with outcome of the game.

I said it meant nothing. Thats what the gif. proves.
yuck

get that fucking shit outta here...

fucking attention whore
kind of weird to bring up a week old post just to score gotcha

This thread in a nutshell
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/7/2013 11:50 pm : link
Poster #1 : Hey, I know it didn't make a difference in the outcome, but I like how Prince got in Bowes face after doing the salsa. Not to mention he's been a good player for us this year.

Vibe : YEAH BUT IT DIDN'T HELP US WIN THE GAME.

Poster #1 : Uhm...no argument here. I just thought it was cool to see some fire out of him, you know?

Vibe : YEAH BUT I LIKE WINS OVER PROTECTING DANCES.

Poster #1 : As do I, but unfortunately we as fans didn't get to choose whether we could get a win out of this game or watch Prince get in someones face for doing the salsa.

Few days later

Vibe : HEY LOOK AT THIS GIF OF PRINCE NOT GETTING IN THE WRs FACE AFTER HE DOES THE SALSA AND WE STILL LOSE.

In conclusion, thanks for school us that that whether Prince gets in the face of a WR after he scores a TD...we still lose. Mind blowing stuff over here at BBI 2.0.
schooling us*

Oh, I'd never try school you.
vibe4giants : 10/7/2013 11:56 pm : link
I'm sure entire districts have given it their best shot and I'm not going to do better than they did.

This dickbag lives for gotcha points....
I'd say that's real mature
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/7/2013 11:57 pm : link
But should I expect from a grown man that still plays video games?
But what*
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/7/2013 11:58 pm : link
I'm gonna pass out before this argument comes to fruition.
Weird, chris?
vibe4giants : 10/8/2013 9:10 am : link
Sure. Because no one's ever brought up a week old argument on here before. A week is like two thousands years on BBI. Generations have come and gone. People move on. They let things die. Especially when they have pictures of the exact, same circumstance that beautifully illustrate their original point.

I feel like you, of all people, should have a better handle on what actually constitutes a weird argument on here.
Some of you take this board a bit too seriously.
BrettNYG10 : 10/8/2013 9:42 am : link
vibe's gif was funny.
....
BrettNYG10 : 10/8/2013 9:43 am : link
And in the context of BBI, vibe bringing it up again isn't 'weird'. Not on a board where we have posters saving others' pictures, GiantFilthy, etc.
Stfu, Brett.
GiantFilthy : 10/8/2013 9:45 am : link

We can make shit weird up in here.

Don't make me go to the video again.
The gif didn't really prove anything though
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/8/2013 12:34 pm : link
It just showed Prince not doing anything when someone mocked the salsa dance again. This whole thread you were just talking about how you enjoy wins more than defending dances. It's not like we won this game because Prince was too busy defending his guy to defend the salsa dance.

And the gif is funny. My Eagles friend showed me it after the game.
No, the thread was about how defending dances is a sign of Giants
vibe4giants : 10/8/2013 12:46 pm : link
pride! And that Prince 'defending Cruz' (?) was a meaningful gesture that would the Giants FO would remember. Because it showed fire and shit.

In short, you still have no idea what this thread was about. And yet you can't stop posting on it.

Which just goes to what a waste schooling is when people refuse to learn.
It was pretty clear that the OP said
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/8/2013 1:00 pm : link
He liked the fire out of Prince in that instance, not to mention he's been one of the few bright spots for us this year. Just because you decided to run with that claiming that you like wins more tells me that you don't understand what this thread was about.

Also, it's fantastic how you bring up that I can't stop commenting on the thread when you're probably hitting double digit comments on this thread and decided to revive it from the dead a good 5 days later.
Nope.
vibe4giants : 10/8/2013 1:07 pm : link
You still don't understand.

Got nothing, huh?
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/8/2013 1:20 pm : link
Gotta run a few errands. I'll check this thread out later to see if you've proven a point yet. Still waiting for what the gif means.
It's surprising that Prince lost his fire so quickly
