Who still thinks this season can be salvaged?

Sean in PA : 9/30/2013 6:43 pm
0-4, obviously they have looked awful, I thought they played hard yesterday and the loss can be placed on ST's, but the offense is still putrid.

Reasons for hope-

1. The division is historically bad.

2. The 2009 Giants were 5-0 and then finished the year 3-8 (point is, things can change fast).

3. The 2011 Super Bowl Champion Giants lost 4 games in a row including getting smoked on MNF in New Orleans with Ron Jaworski laughing at the prospect of them making the playoffs.

4. Teams regularly go through bad slumps in today's NFL, see the Ravens last year.

Most importantly though, the division is THAT bad. What if the Giants play well next week and win, and Denver takes care of Dallas? Are we supposed to ignore the fact that this team would only be one game out in the loss column for the division lead?

Does anyone else think the Giants play better and can at lease 'be in the conversation' of a very poor division? Somebody has to win it.

I would be pretty disappointed to sneak into the playoffs at 8-8 simply because the Division sucks, and then get our ass handed to us in the first round.

I would rather see the team make the fixes it needs to be very competitive in coming years. And yes, it needs substantial fixes.
It's not looking good...

Seems like each week we lose another guy....you just have to play one game at a time, and hope for the best....

A win against Philly, puts us one game out....go figure...
I don't, and

unlike prior years, if by some miracle they made the playoffs, I think they'd be curbstomped.

This team needs some fundamental changes and a real infusion of talent. They're terible.
until we lose in division again

the hilarious reality is, we're still not eliminated from the playoffs for now.
Of course it can be salvaged

Win every game and 12-4 is a great record. 2 games back with 12 to play is not insurmountable.

But will it happen? Doubtful.
sure, they might end up being the tallest midget in the NFC East

But what good would that do?
I just hope we can win a game
