I disagree with Dave Hutchinson's assessment of this situation. I certainly don't see Cordle as the future starting center on the line. I know he's doing the job now by default, but unless he shows better technique and strength over this year, he can't be seen as the answer IMO. He may be given an opportunity to compete against someone else in camp, but can't see him winning that job.
Additionally, I don't think Boothe has done that well at Guard. I don't think he has been a major concern, but I still think he is better suited as a reserve. Perhaps the Giants would consider bringing him back to compete with Cordle at Center next year.
In my mind, the whole interior line needs to be blown up and replaced with snot-knockers and linemen that are strong enough and athletic enough to get our running game going.
What say you?

Don't really care if I'm a lousy couch potato vs the possible HOF coach, 'outstanding' and 'Cordle' don't belong in the same sentence. That doesn't mean Cordle is as bad as BBI is making him out to be.
Coachspeak is utterly useless. they spread so much dis-information, vagueness, outright BS, that any kernel of truth they do say can't be trusted.
When posters do not like a player's productivity, the coach quoted(differing with the posters opinions) is often dismissed as in, "he must have meant something else, it's not what I see."
Sorry, one can't have it both ways..No one is more credible than TC, because he's rarely effusive..I have NEVER seen him use the word outstanding and Sinorice Moss in the same sentence.Ever..Compliment him at times? Sure. Outstanding? Never heard such a word uttered by TC towards SM
Close enough?

Did you really think I was referring to TC not or rarely referring to the term "outstanding" for excellent plays here and there?
Saying SM made some outstanding plays vs saying Cordle HAS BEEN outstanding are two completely different references, imv..If it's not, then I admit I'm quite dumb! ;)
Digging your heels in isn't going to help now.
Clearly my mistake.
Said Coughlin: ``Tim Carter gave us some big plays. He does an outstanding job, along with Ike Hilliard at the Z position. He's made good progress since the middle of training camp. I'm happy to see him have a good day.''
And boom goes the dynamite.
Excellent point. The Moss reference is the epitome of "a stopped watch is right twice a day".

As I said, you can appeal to authority all you want, but outside of coachspeak, there is no way on earth that Jim Cordle can be considered "outstanding".
