All at home.
Raiders could b e tougher but they are beatable. T Pryor is their QB, so come on.
Packers have come down a bit this season and they are beatable on our turf.
and then we got the Cowboys. I'm confident we will beat them .
3 tough games but all are winnable, as long as we win the turnover battle.
Just don't beat themselves and they will be in all the games
It is really not out of the realm of possibility either. I think the stat they mentioned last week is that every season since 2005, when Eli became the full time starter, the Giants have had at least one winning streak of at least 4 games. So, this team going on a roll is a big possibility.
We are still not a good time, ugly wins vs two of the worst teams in the league doesn't change that.
Amazing what a few wins will do for everyone.
Are we still trying to tank the season so the Giants can get Clowney?
The Raiders are no joke. Pryor is a dynamic runner who could easily give us fits.
GB. Hmmm. They have this guy Rodgers.
Dallas. Romo and Dez Bryant could be enough.
I'd love to be wrong, but I still see us as a four or five win team.
LOL
They just aren't a good team.
They might even lose to Christian Ponder & the Vikes. Definite loss to the Saints in 2 weeks.
Then finish the season @ Redskins and vs Eagles. Washington might beat them.
I'd make them a pretty heavy favorite right now. Probably 75% odds (which i would imagine is pretty much in line historically for a team with a 2 game lead at the midway point. Throw the other three teams in a hat and split the final 25% between them
The Giants defense isn't going to shut them out and the Giants offense's just-don't-turn-the-ball-over act isn't going to come close to cutting it against them.
Frankly, with how feisty the Raiders have been playing, too many people are writing that one off as a gimme win.
The Raiders are a running team through and through. Between Prior and McFadden, they are going to pound the rock. Our defense has been very stout against the run all year, so this plays right into our strength.
I am more worried about the Raiders defense and our offense though. Still, we have the better team and NEED the win in the worst way. Call me crazy, but I think we win in blowout fashion. Win next Sunday and then we can start talking about GB.
Of course it would help a TON if we win the next 3 and cowboys lose to the Saints. Then all of a sudden we're in the driver's seat.
Think about it, with all of our sloppy play (and there was A LOT of it) we were very much in every game outside of that beatdown in Carolina.
Honestly, I see no reason why the Giants can't rally and win these next 3 games particulary when you consider how well we have played GB over the last few years.
We're still in last place. The Eagles and Redskins can get first place as well.
we couldnt get the ball in on the eagles and they were just begging us to do it.
we need to tweak the offense and fire on all cyclinders... we have the talent and just need to excute better. The o line need to do their job.
one game at a time
We've had 10 quarters of shutout football and we're still down 141-223 on point differential.
You really need to pay attention to how bad that is and what it means.
The Gmen need to take it one game at a time. They have the right attitude about it and if there was a team that could actually pull it off, it would be this team. I'm not counting them out till they're mathematically eliminated.
As others have said, Oakland is not a gimme game and will be a tough test for the Offense once again, but if they don't turn it over, they will probably win another low-scoring contest. Then we can start looking at GB and only then.
Pass the peyote!
Despite all the problems Giants have, I think they should still be able to beat the Raiders. Looking forward to hopefully enjoy another win.
At least these two wins (and the ineptitude of the division) have kept us alive and given us some meaningful games to look forward to.
I thought the offense played well. The game had a particular context, and the offense met the needs of that context.
You like TD's instead of FG's but I thought the offense generally played well yesterday - particularly in the context of the overall game.
The question is: If we were in a shootout, could we have kept up?
Granted as bad as the first half went, the Giants have to play as well in the second half. They can't afford to go less than 6-2, with 7-1 being more optimal. If, by some miracle, they run the table, they win the division hands down. 7-1 likely wins it if the only loss is to Seattle. 6-2 has an outside shot depending on who that 2nd loss is to.
To make the playoffs, the Giants cannot lose another NFC East game, in my view. Then, at 8-8, they have a shot.
the passes to jordy nelson last night were off the charts
Rodgers didn't even have Randall Cobb, James Jones and Jermichael Finley to throw to.
Have to win a shootout and not have any special teams gaffes. Somehow hope to get the ball last and have Eli come thru.
As to the O, we can explode at any time. The Receivers can easily and finally get on the same page along with Hillis putting pressure on the defenses that we weren't able to put on before..He'll also shorten down and distance allowing receivers several options..
