I'm the only one, who thinks the Vikings will win today. I just don't think the Cowboys are as good, as some people believe. I expect AP to run all over them.
You know it's a brutal day for football in the NFC
The supposed number one announcing team (Aikman/Buck) are doing a game involving the 1-6 Vikings and the number two team (Kenny/Moose/Goose) are doing a game featuring the 0-7 Bucs. Damn.
I think you are seriously underestimating how awful the Vikings are. Particularly the QB's. Dallas is not very good, I agree, but this is more to do with Minnesota than Dallas. Plus, AP has a hammy, which isn't gonna help matters.
will give the Saints a tough game, and have a good chance to outright win.
After the Jets got smoked by the Bengals last week, too many people got caught up in the "...and now they have to play the Saints???"
They have to play the outdoor Saints, not the indoor Saints. The outdoor Saints are a good, but not great team. And after last week's embarrassment, the on-and-off Jets are due for an overachieving game.
the Cowboys' D honest, AP could have a big game and their D could easily keep their O reasonably in check, we could be 1 game out(loss column) going into next week with 8 to play?
I predict the Vikes over the Cowboys in one of the bigger upsets of the season as Dallas totally takes the Vikes for granted. Truly THE trap game
The Vikes D blows (especially after losing Smith), but they have been MUCH more competitive with Ponder under center. Should've beaten Cle and Chi (D blew both on last second drives).
And the Vikes offense has averaged 28 pts/game with Ponder starting.
man, the NFL has really dropped this year.....yes, the Giants are playing bad, but none of those teams are head and shoulders above the Giants....Parity? More like Pukity.....
I'm the only one, who thinks the Vikings will win today. I just don't think the Cowboys are as good, as some people believe. I expect AP to run all over them.
I hope Minnesota does roll all over them too, but Cowboys are pretty decent. I read something earlier this week that 3 of their 4 losses are by a total of like 5 points which tells me they are very competitive.to say the least.
Eh IDK. Colston got hurt, he's a game-time decision, and Graham has a bad foot. You can run on the Saints. A lot of Ivory and Powell to keep Brees off the field, and the Jets have a chance.
I'm in the Vikings camp. It's wishful thinking, and Dallas will win, but I'd love for AD to have a prolific game and win it for Minnesota. But, Minnesota has nobody to slow down Dez Bryant
Jerry Jones is such a damn idiot. He gets rid of his best coach during the off-season and now Rob Ryan has fixed the Saints D. Brees is playing fantastic ball this year.
The Jets defense is not good. This should be a blow out in the order of about 35-10. Take the Saints and give the 6 points.
People think that offensive football is good football. They look at a team and if it has a good offense, they automatically assume the team is good, regardless of how pathetic the defense is. That Redskns-Chargers game is likely to be a 48-38 type game, which is exciting to watch I suppose, but it may not be good football. Sometimes it's more about bad defense than it is about good offense, and I think that will be the case in that game
Gabbert/Henne is the worst by a long shot. Glennon is pretty awful. Weeden or whoever in Cleveland. Whoever the hell is now starting in StL. Casey Keenum.
Ponder's got some major flaws, but I'd take him over all those guys. Though there's a reason those teams have <10 wins combined...
of a shit slate of games. I'll get Chargers-Redskins. Hoping for a SD win, but I see the Skins bouncing back with a better game from RGIII, and solid running from Morris. The best chance for SD is to win a high scoring game with Rivers against the wretched Washington secondary.
They have Adrian Peterson, they have a good offensive line, they have 2 good tight ends (Carlson, Rudolph) and at Receiver they have some weapons and speed in Patterson, Simpson, Jennings, and Webb.
Almost every play they run should be designed to get Peterson the ball in space. Swing passes, shovel passes, shotgun draws, runs, screens, wheel routes, etc... They need to embrace that Peterson is the team and find any way to get him and Patterson the ball in space. Heck, even Webb can make guys miss if you get him the ball, the guy has wheels. Jennings, Simpson, Carlson, and Rudolph are all guys that require someone covering them, they aren't garbage players you can completely ignore.
They need to accept they have no quarterbacks that can make anything more than a simple read and simple throws, they do have a few that can run (Ponder, Freeman, Webb). They can't and shouldn't be running an pro-style offense.
I predict the Cowboys destroy the Vikings, mainly because the Vikings will run Peterson into 9 man boxes with unimaginative play designs and then be forced to throw the ball 10+ yards downfield every drive.
I also think the Jets have a good chance against NO today.
But one of the bigger upsets of the season, Fiddy? That's some Jerry Jones' level hype, dude. The Vikes are awful, sure. But the Cowboys are hardly some rolling, indomitable juggernaut. They're currently the least bad of the bad teams in the NFC East. Them losing on any given Sunday would hardly rate an eyebrow raise at this point. Beyond the amusing chaos it would cause in and around the Cowboys franchise.
For some reason BBI likes to buy into the Cowboys hype
It's really just that Minnesota is a terrible football team.
Dallas is nothing more than average. But average is better than what the Vikings are.
I doubt Dallas wins in New Orleans next week.. I think there's a good chance the Giants beat them in a few weeks, too. But I can't see them losing today.
People do realize how horrible the Vikings are right?
They would rather start Josh Freeman with next to zero knowledge of the offense and next to no practice over Ponder or Cassel against the Giants. This has nothing to do with overrating the Cowboys and everything to do with the fact that they need Peterson to win them games on the ground, they can't do anything through the air and will run Peterson up the gut into 9 man boxes because they have no faith in their passing game.
Redskins were backed up to their one inch line after a great SD punt. Bob tried a quick hitting pass to his right. It was tipped by one player, and caught by the DT Lissemore in the end zone.
geno has shown that he can run and the Jets O has been struggling. It doesn't seem like NO is blitzing alot, so when he gets out of the pocket he needs to take what's there and keep his team out of long 3rd down situations. He doesn't need to run all the time but they need to stay in makeable situations.
Geno was smart to throw the ball out of the back of the end zone there, but the announcer sounded shocked that the ball had "NO CHANCE!" to be caught. Then during the replay, he changes his mind and mumbles that Geno should have run it in. Then he calls it a "win" for the Saints D that they gave up a field goal, even though the Saints D had the Jets pinned inside their own 5, gave up a big run, and ended up giving up a field goal. That's not a win for the D.
bent his knees, sinked his hips, dropped his pads and then just proceeded to explode in the opposite direction. amazing suddenness, its still there despite the statistical decline
this season (Matt Ryan to Tony G). If Carolina held them out they'd be the first team since the 1940 Bears (Monsters of the Midway) to not allow a 1st half TD in their first 8 regular season games
let's explain this in a way you MIGHT understand it.
you're complaining about a team making stupid decisions when they made a ridiculously stupid one against us where if ANYONE else was playing QB, they might have won the game. there were guys running open all night and he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn
aggressiveness of the Saints. No bullshit running the ball or wasting time with that. They are going to throw and out the ball in their best players hand and let him pass. I wish we would do that a lot more.
I understand you have a man crush on me, and despite me being gay, I am actually not interested in you. I'm flattered though. But pretty sad you get "excitement" from patrolling BBI threads.
The idea that the Saints just say screw the run while the Giants are stubborn about it simply isn't true. The Giants have a much higher pass to rush ratio, in fact. Now, I realize that game situation dictates much of this, but it's not like the Giants just continue to run the ball while the Saints don't waste their time with it
It's nice that the Vikings are playing competitive ball today,
and their defense also sucks. Dez and Whitten are good, but their other WR's are average, and I'm not sold on their RB being a top RB either. Also Romo is great fantasy QB, but makes big mistakes.
epitome of garbage tackling in the NFL on the Kyle Randolph touchdown. Plowed Church over like he wasn't even there. Pathetic. Oh well, fantasy points for me.
what an unabashed Jet fan...he's embarrassing. Pat Summerall was a longtime Giant player and he was able to keep his sympathies under wraps in the booth for the most part
i have never seen a team so inconsistent from week to week. They look dreadful and then look fantastic. At least we bunched it up, go on a few weeks of playing great, then some weeks playing poor etc etc.
What do you mean? I haven't had the game on the last few minutes, but he was making dopey criticisms of Geno before and called a bad Saints D drive "a win" because they only gave up a field goal.
You can't really make that "never win a title" remark about a wide receiver, because you never know if he just goes along for a championship ride, like Andre Rison or someone like that.
the cowboys are wildly overrated here. yeah yeah yeah, they have the best scoring offense in the nfl behind the broncos. but their offense probably didn't score 25% of their total points, or were given ridiculously short fields. its an overrated group and its gonna be worse without brian waters on that line.
its a team on defense that's overachieving, and that's saying a lot since they still have the last ranked defense in the league
Is a perfect example of why it seems nobody can tackle anymore. Did you see the slow mo replay? They had 5 guys on him, but not one of them were concerned with getting him to the ground. They were all trying to pry the ball out instead. That's what teams teach now, particularly Dallas. Sure, it creates some turnovers, but the tackling is abysmal.
4th and Inches, you have a fullback who can easily get that, you could do a QB sneak, a direct snap to the running back, any run play so long as it is within the tackles could work in that situation.
with the ball at their own twenty-nine down by three. Twenty yards to Royal, and now eight yards to Woodhead to the thirty-five or so. Two minute warning.
there are two types of trolls in my internet experience. the ones who are just strident about their unpopular opinion, and then there the ones that just seek to destroy all conversation and add nothing. nyg9298 is in the latter category, one that i find so much more annoying than the first. i cannot believe he is still around, he is not here to contribute anything.
yeah, I'm the one to come after when two MONGOLOID teams are blowing it. We need these pussies to win because of the 2-6 clown record we have. Are you all that stupid???????????? Such a simple concept that you dumbasses cant grasp holy shit I am so much better and smarter than any of you. Just shut the fuck up while youre still ahead. focus on what is on the SCREEN.
take suck & be stupid pills this morning?...dropped passes, bad decisions & 4th & 19 Brees holds the ball for an hour & then throws a backhand shovel pass instead of just putting it downfield to someone....meanwhile on 3rd he threw a terrible ball downfield that was almost picked.
Going for it early on 4th down, missing the extra pt, throwing it deep on 1st down after the int & on the last drive not dumping it off to Peterson and trying to pick up yardage early in that drive.
Jerry Jones is such a damn idiot. He gets rid of his best coach during the off-season and now Rob Ryan has fixed the Saints D. Brees is playing fantastic ball this year.

the Jests today is that they're gonna be in a foul mood next week at home on SNF against the Cowflops (besides, it's always nice to see the Aints lose outdoors).
P.S. That Jordan Reed kid on Washington out of Florida is something else. Quality rookie receiving TE with some dynamic ability with the ball in his hands.
shit. RGIII with a great pass on first and twenty, plus a fifteen yard penalty on top of it. Inside the SD fifteen. Redskins going in for the TD I think, which will end the game. The SD defense is awful.
The refs are a bunch of fucking pussies. There was no defenseless receiver in the Chargers game. Fucking joke. Also, at the en of regulation the red said six-inch line. Why the fuck was the ball spotted close to the one? Why didn't McCoy raise holy hell?
The Chargers are a bunch of morons regardless. Eli was brilliant making sure his ass didn't get buried there.
Are there people on this site still under the impression the Giants have a chance at winning the division? You should be motivational speakers. You glasses aren't just half full, they are overflowing.
I just heard a stat about there having only been 3 missed extra points in the entire league so far this season, with that missed EP by the Vikes' kicker Walsh being one of them. That team is hot gabbige.
No one has scored more than 17 points on the Chiefs. First defense to do that in over 35 years.
They've allowed 111 points in 9 games, a league leading average of just 12.3 ppg. When you take into account that their defense has also scored 6 times this season (including twice today) They've actually only really allowed a net of 69 points, which is just 7.66 ppg.
Now have they benefited from some questionable competition? Sure. Do I expect them to shut down Denver in their 2 upcoming meetings? No. But what they've done is still amazing. If they ever do hold up their end against the Broncos offense, then we might start whispering about them having the chance to be one of those historic units for a single season
After the Jets got smoked by the Bengals last week, too many people got caught up in the "...and now they have to play the Saints???"

Also would love to see Car beatdown Atl.
Also would love to see Car beatdown Atl.
Dallas smokes Minnesota 41-6 and Redskins edge out the Chargers 20-17 in OT

Dallas is going to beat Minnesota handily. I don't see that game being close at all. But I sure as hell hope I am wrong.
And it looks like I picked the wrong weekend to quit sniffing glue.
Dallas is nothing more than average. But average is better than what the Vikings are.
I doubt Dallas wins in New Orleans next week.. I think there's a good chance the Giants beat them in a few weeks, too. But I can't see them losing today.
That being said, it's a long shot.
Let's just hope the crappy team shows up today.
LOLRedskins
that looked really overthrown and he got under it
Not sure what you mean by that. He was never a scrambling QB at WVU. He can move a little bit but he's not really that kind of player.
let's put it that way.
two DT's combine on a pick 6. neither had any clue what was going on
7-0.
the same "mongoloid" team played us and left a horribly ineffective QB in the game for no reason, while guys were running open
I guess you don't, because your utter stupidity knows no bounds.
Romo sacked again and a long FG upcoming for Dallas
Coulda been 6-6 but nope...we have the Cowboys going up against stuff competition today
led him and everything
.
Minnesota has 1st and goal as well
Touchdown Ponder
let's explain this in a way you MIGHT understand it.

Flanker screen to Royal for an easy TD for SD. Fluker with a great block downfield. Incredible.
14-7.
Now Helu for twenty on third and ten. 18 seconds left in the half.
nyg9298 : 1:47 pm : link : reply
mongoloid teams always play our division rivals
Forbath with a fifty-nine yard attempt. Blocked. by Liguet, but the kick was low.
16-22 for 96. How is that even possible
These guys are so fucking dumb.
16-22 for 96. How is that even possible
Didn't think it was.
Saints 178 Rush attempts 271 Pass attempts
Giants 176 Rush attempts 311 Pass attempts

Hochuli is probably the worst offender but seriously why not just say "after further review, the defender had possession with both feet in bounds"?
wow
Yeah, don't tell them that.
Brees atts in 10-12. Plus 07 & 08 he had 150 more atts each year
658, 657, 670
Eli
539, 589, 536
This year is different because the Giants have been behind early and often
Super Bowl 34?
they're completely random. big effort one week, total garbage the next
Didn't sound like a Jets fan to me.
lalalalala : 2:53 pm : link : reply
they're completely random. big effort one half of the season, total garbage the next
that's not random, that's called a "pattern"
The NFL is full of idiots.
That's the rule, and it was enforced. Blame the idiot who broke the rule.
taking 25 yards of penalties... smart move
and lets go phil
hahahahahaha
but the Saints got the FG anyway.
don't see how that can be overturned
when the Pats took that penalty. missed horribly
Dallas always has a lot of visiting fans for whatever reason.
Peterson is from Texas as well. Grew up 2 hours outside of Dallas.
now they have 7 instead of 6
They forget they have the unstoppable Jimmy Graham?
its a team on defense that's overachieving, and that's saying a lot since they still have the last ranked defense in the league
They're quite a long way from really good, in fact.
It's 4th and a fucking inch! Run it!
It's 4th and a fucking inch! Run it!
But they were being "creative" (or something)
#Gilbride
Every single time.
May as well go for it.
They just aren't that good.
receiver in the area
I fucking said it
End. Of. Story.
Fuck the Minnesota Vikings and fuck ya;l if you defend anything that has to do with them
they ain't going the length of the field
seriously, he bitches about how much we suck and then goes nuts because a 2-6 team doesn't get help in the playoff race
and shut the fuck up clown
1st and goal
"I want to fuck Romo because he completed a game winning drive" -MarshallOnMOntana
this guy should have been blasted a long time ago
SD about to blow it. 4th down
and the Skins and Chargers are going to OT
Rivers incomplete. Fourth down. Redskins hold from the six inch line. Really dumb playcalling by SD.
Just terrible.
Are exposed.
it had no chance, the Skins had packed up the box tight
The Jets defense is not good. This should be a blow out in the order of about 35-10. Take the Saints and give the 6 points.
I'm so proud of our little sister! Go Jets!
At this point, we only have ourselves to blame for his continued participation here.
Same goes for Miley Cyrus.
Dallas sucks. Everybody in the NFC East sucks. This is easily the worst division in football.
seems like he's always away from the play or hanging on someone
Hopefully we can get Diehl/Baas/Snee out there as starters in 2014 again!
The Chargers are a bunch of morons regardless. Eli was brilliant making sure his ass didn't get buried there.
