I'm the only one, who thinks the Vikings will win today. I just don't think the Cowboys are as good, as some people believe. I expect AP to run all over them.
You know it's a brutal day for football in the NFC
The supposed number one announcing team (Aikman/Buck) are doing a game involving the 1-6 Vikings and the number two team (Kenny/Moose/Goose) are doing a game featuring the 0-7 Bucs. Damn.
I think you are seriously underestimating how awful the Vikings are. Particularly the QB's. Dallas is not very good, I agree, but this is more to do with Minnesota than Dallas. Plus, AP has a hammy, which isn't gonna help matters.
will give the Saints a tough game, and have a good chance to outright win.
After the Jets got smoked by the Bengals last week, too many people got caught up in the "...and now they have to play the Saints???"
They have to play the outdoor Saints, not the indoor Saints. The outdoor Saints are a good, but not great team. And after last week's embarrassment, the on-and-off Jets are due for an overachieving game.
the Cowboys' D honest, AP could have a big game and their D could easily keep their O reasonably in check, we could be 1 game out(loss column) going into next week with 8 to play?
I predict the Vikes over the Cowboys in one of the bigger upsets of the season as Dallas totally takes the Vikes for granted. Truly THE trap game
The Vikes D blows (especially after losing Smith), but they have been MUCH more competitive with Ponder under center. Should've beaten Cle and Chi (D blew both on last second drives).
And the Vikes offense has averaged 28 pts/game with Ponder starting.
man, the NFL has really dropped this year.....yes, the Giants are playing bad, but none of those teams are head and shoulders above the Giants....Parity? More like Pukity.....

I hope Minnesota does roll all over them too, but Cowboys are pretty decent. I read something earlier this week that 3 of their 4 losses are by a total of like 5 points which tells me they are very competitive.to say the least.
Eh IDK. Colston got hurt, he's a game-time decision, and Graham has a bad foot. You can run on the Saints. A lot of Ivory and Powell to keep Brees off the field, and the Jets have a chance.
I'm in the Vikings camp. It's wishful thinking, and Dallas will win, but I'd love for AD to have a prolific game and win it for Minnesota. But, Minnesota has nobody to slow down Dez Bryant
Jerry Jones is such a damn idiot. He gets rid of his best coach during the off-season and now Rob Ryan has fixed the Saints D. Brees is playing fantastic ball this year.
The Jets defense is not good. This should be a blow out in the order of about 35-10. Take the Saints and give the 6 points.
People think that offensive football is good football. They look at a team and if it has a good offense, they automatically assume the team is good, regardless of how pathetic the defense is. That Redskns-Chargers game is likely to be a 48-38 type game, which is exciting to watch I suppose, but it may not be good football. Sometimes it's more about bad defense than it is about good offense, and I think that will be the case in that game
Gabbert/Henne is the worst by a long shot. Glennon is pretty awful. Weeden or whoever in Cleveland. Whoever the hell is now starting in StL. Casey Keenum.
Ponder's got some major flaws, but I'd take him over all those guys. Though there's a reason those teams have <10 wins combined...
of a shit slate of games. I'll get Chargers-Redskins. Hoping for a SD win, but I see the Skins bouncing back with a better game from RGIII, and solid running from Morris. The best chance for SD is to win a high scoring game with Rivers against the wretched Washington secondary.
They have Adrian Peterson, they have a good offensive line, they have 2 good tight ends (Carlson, Rudolph) and at Receiver they have some weapons and speed in Patterson, Simpson, Jennings, and Webb.
Almost every play they run should be designed to get Peterson the ball in space. Swing passes, shovel passes, shotgun draws, runs, screens, wheel routes, etc... They need to embrace that Peterson is the team and find any way to get him and Patterson the ball in space. Heck, even Webb can make guys miss if you get him the ball, the guy has wheels. Jennings, Simpson, Carlson, and Rudolph are all guys that require someone covering them, they aren't garbage players you can completely ignore.
They need to accept they have no quarterbacks that can make anything more than a simple read and simple throws, they do have a few that can run (Ponder, Freeman, Webb). They can't and shouldn't be running an pro-style offense.
I predict the Cowboys destroy the Vikings, mainly because the Vikings will run Peterson into 9 man boxes with unimaginative play designs and then be forced to throw the ball 10+ yards downfield every drive.
I also think the Jets have a good chance against NO today.
But one of the bigger upsets of the season, Fiddy? That's some Jerry Jones' level hype, dude. The Vikes are awful, sure. But the Cowboys are hardly some rolling, indomitable juggernaut. They're currently the least bad of the bad teams in the NFC East. Them losing on any given Sunday would hardly rate an eyebrow raise at this point. Beyond the amusing chaos it would cause in and around the Cowboys franchise.
For some reason BBI likes to buy into the Cowboys hype
It's really just that Minnesota is a terrible football team.
Dallas is nothing more than average. But average is better than what the Vikings are.
I doubt Dallas wins in New Orleans next week.. I think there's a good chance the Giants beat them in a few weeks, too. But I can't see them losing today.
People do realize how horrible the Vikings are right?
They would rather start Josh Freeman with next to zero knowledge of the offense and next to no practice over Ponder or Cassel against the Giants. This has nothing to do with overrating the Cowboys and everything to do with the fact that they need Peterson to win them games on the ground, they can't do anything through the air and will run Peterson up the gut into 9 man boxes because they have no faith in their passing game.

Also would love to see Car beatdown Atl.

Dallas smokes Minnesota 41-6 and Redskins edge out the Chargers 20-17 in OT

Dallas is going to beat Minnesota handily. I don't see that game being close at all. But I sure as hell hope I am wrong.
And it looks like I picked the wrong weekend to quit sniffing glue.

That being said, it's a long shot.
Let's just hope the crappy team shows up today.
