Redskins to beat the Eagles this weekend. It could be the linchpin to our comeback (assuming of course we take care of our own business) At that point, we would be a one game out with the Cowboys coming in and basically would control our own destiny. We have the Redskins twice, so we can take care of them if we are really serious about making the playoffs. The Redskins also have the Niners, which is a loss. The Cowboys have the Packers probably with Rodgers, which would be a loss. If the Eagles win, though, they would have a game up on us with 5 to play. They have home to Arizona, Chicago, and Detroit (they probably take 2 of those 3). They are on the road to Minnesota (a W), and the Cowboys the last game of the year (normally I would say a loss, but the Cowboys could be done at that point and would have nothing to play for).
I think the Redskins actually will beat the Eagles.

I think they have a shot, but the Redskins defense is really bad. But I do know, we need them to win badly (assuming we take care of our own business).
The Eagles defense is pretty bad, too.

20th in points allowed, 31st in yards.

We're really the only team in the division with a defense that isn't a sieve right now.
Giants control their own destiny

right now,,,,,,,,do you really thing 10-6 wouldn't win the division.

I know technically you are right.........but
It is really hard to judge the Eagles
Essex : 11/15/2013 8:51 am : link
we are honest about our wins, against Matt Barkley, Josh Freeman, and Terrell Pyror. The Eagles must be honest about their wins against Scott Tolzien, Terrell Pryor, RGIII on one leg, and Mike Glennon. Oh, and that guy named Eli (but we will all concede our offense has sort of been playing like those other qbs lol). The point, though, is that the Eagles really do not have an impressive win, they have won impressively a few times (against Washington and Oakland and GB), but they have not beaten any team with a real offense at the time they played them.

I know if the Giants win out they probably would win division. With that said, if the Redskins win, it would allow for a much different and navigable road to the playoffs than if they don't.
All

this thread proves is that every team in this division sucks. Whether we are the best of a very bad lot remains to be seen. But remember that after GB and Dallas, we have Seattle and SD, two very tough teams. And SD is away.

As far as the Redskins and the Eagles are concerned, I think the Eagles win, but the teams in this division are so bad, it's hard to predict a winner in any contest.
all it takes IMO is for Foles to get nicked again
andrew_nyg : 11/15/2013 9:01 am : link
and they're done.

He's proven to be the only truly productive QB in that system.

The defense is nothing to write home about.

Honestly, I am more worried about the Redskins than anyone else in that division.
The Redskins D is also pitiful.

31st in points, 27th in yards.

Dallas is 23rd in points and 32nd in yards.

At least we're 11th in yards.

Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington comprise 3 of the 5 teams in the NFL who have given up the most yardage.
enough with this shit

we don't need anything from anyone else...u do understand the word "need" dont you???
I'm not sure...
FatMan in Charlotte : 11/15/2013 9:26 am : link
the Eagles are that certain to win 2 out of 3 vs. the Bears, Cards and Lions.

Heck, we will have a tough time beating the Lions and we've lost to the Bears.
I just don't "think" it will happen

but, at least it has turned the season around as far as interest is concerned.....as long as they are alive, there is something to look forward to watching each week....

Who knows when this might end? Maybe soon? Maybe the season will make 2007 and 2011, take a back seat....

Whatever, it's fun to look forward to the next game....
Well...if we don't discuss what might possibly happen...

including "needs" it makes for a fairly boring site.

I am as big a positive thinker as there is on this board, having said this, I just don't see the Giants winning more than 7 or 8 games. I can make a case for 10-6 but I can see 4-12 as well.

I also honestly(looking ahead as we fans are allowed to do I don't have to take it one game at a time)am not all to worried about San Diego. I think they're a team the Giants can take even on the road.

If the Giants get hot on offense(I mean playing well not just making some plays and slipping by)they can make a heck of a run. I'm just not sure they're going to get hot.
I don't care who is playing QB for the Packers.....
Simms11 : 11/15/2013 9:39 am : link
this is going to be a very tough game for us and possibly the toughest in over a month. If we can somehow pull this one out, then we can start talking about the team making a real push.
As much as I despise
GMANinDC : 11/15/2013 10:04 am : link
the Redskins, i almost hope they win. But i would rather the eagles win just to know the Skins out of the chase. That way, the motivation for them won't be as much as if they are still in it and the Giants have to play them twice..
I wouldn't play the schedule game in today's NFL

So, let me get this straight....

....the Redskins will beat the Eagles, but the Eagles will beat the Vikings who the Redskins couldn't beat? Okay.
Still a lot to play out, but I wonder if that Week 17
Jimmy Googs : 11/15/2013 10:24 am : link
game Philly at Dallas really winds up deciding it all in the NFC East. Somebody has to win that game and it may be the win that seals up the division.

Giants obviously have to take care of their own business.

However, it would be great if Dallas somehow went on a losing streak to fall out of the race, but then played "spoiler" and knocked off the Eagles for us in that Week 17 game.

Stats are misleading. Take a look at the Eagles defense the last 5 games. It hard to evaluate the yards they allowed to the Raiders when the score was 49-13.

The first 5 games (the defense wasn't that bad against the Giants in the 1st meeting) were below average. Since then, it was improved.
