Not going to win, but at least make a game of it and have a chance in the 4th quarter?
Seeing the Giants helpless out there like last year against Baltimore and Atlanta and like the final games of 2009 has crossed my mind, but I have a gut feeling the Giants play their asses off at home, with nothing but pride on the line. They are in position to play hard but loose, have some fun out there and pull off an upset like the 1998 win over the unbeaten Broncos.
I'd at least be happy to see the Giants play a good game and hang with arguably the top team in the NFC.
Giants could conceivable keep the game close and make a play at the end to win. I will be rooting for this scenario.
If Giants turn the ball over it will get ugly very quickly. We all know that.
Best case scenario for Giants is that they go into halftime either with a small lead or at least showing enough momentum that they give themselves enough confidence to play hard until the end.
If we fall behind more than 7 points in first half...good night.
Will I place a bet on them winning?
Absolutely not, straight up. you'd have to give me double or triple the 7 pt line before I even think about reaching for my wallet.
When it all starts going wrong, and it will, this team just does not have the mental fortitude or fight in them to overcome their inadequacies. That and the O Line is a sieve.
I understand having low expectations but I always try and look for the positive. It just makes the game more enjoyable for me(just me, everyone is a fan in the way which suits them best).
Snow, then rain, then sun, temps in upper 30's....
Who knows?
I bet it's a 1 score game.
Yeah, I could see them losing by 20 points.
I'll be shocked if the keep it under 14 points.
The problem is all they have to do is play like a Preseason team to beat us.
boom boom pow wow - ( New Window )
They lose, they move up in the draft order. Yep, we've sunk to this level at this point!!!
GO GIANTS... win or lose!!!
For Xmas.
all year long, I've been on the wrong side of who I'm rooting for (such as Detroit over Eagles,Vikings over Ravens, Giants to win, etc), so I'm rooting for the Giants to win.
1. I think parity rules this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Chargers beat teams like KC and NE in the playoffs.
2. I think if the Giants OL were solid they are on the same plane as the "elite" teams. The OL is not solid but with all the young guys, it is capable of having a strong game against a given opponent. Maybe that happens this week.
Now don't get me wrong, if Giants fall behind early, I could seem them getting down and this thing could turn into a blowout. But I think the Giants might give them a game.
Are you kidding me? The receivers, Eli, and the RB's are doing nothing.....this defense plays well against backups.....elite? Not even close....
Don't think we have a shot though. Seattle will be looking to put the hammer down
Eli's protection sucks and Eli has sucked even when his protection is OK.
This game just ain't winnable.
But man a win today would be nice. You never know....
I think they hang tough.
The Giants play very well, they see promising performances from their younger plays as well as Eli, but at the last moment on a fluke play Seattle wins!
We could use the best draft slot possible.
One thing you can count on the Giants doing every week, is getting your blood pressure up, one way or another...
