I'll take the 2 extra wins. We'll still get a very good prospect with our pick.

8th pick. 5-10-1 is better than 5-11.

8th pick vs. 12th pick usually depends on the draft and how many blue chip prospects are in it. Right now the QBs aren't as hyped for this draft but hopefully that will change over these next couple of months.

Atlanta is one for sure...can anybody make a quick mock? Texans get Bridgewater...

for our pick. He's a WR and I know we need bigtime OL help, but I like him better than the OL options at that area of the draft at this point. He'll probably end up a Top 10 pick if he shines at the combine though.

for Watkins. tampa bay has a ton of money tied up in their WRs. the titans have spent either a first or second round pick on a WR in 4 out of the last 5 drafts, it kinda gets ridiculous at some point. I think they're satisfied with kendall wright and Justin hunter

that leaves Detroit. I think they will draft a cornerback in all likelihood. so unless the jets trade up, theres a very good chance Watkins is there at 12 if the lions pass him up. either way, theres pretty much a 100 percent chance either he or evans will be there.

won/loss record rotate picks in subsequent rounds? In other words, the Giants will pick 11th in the second round and 10th in the 3rd round or somethimg like that.

Looks like the example from Walter football shows that the teams move up one slot in the next round until they get to the top of the list with teams in the tie. Therefore, the giants would pick 11th in the second round . Sorry for the mistake.

They only flip-flop them if a coin toss is required to break the tie in round one. And that only occurs if the strength of schedule is equal for two or more teams.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's how it works, which means the Giants will be drafting at #12 in each round, but round 7.

Standings are based on division and conference tiebreakers.

Draft order is based on strength of schedule as the first tiebreaker.

So they are not necessarily consistent. You can finish 4th and pick behind the 3rd place team in your division.

a WR in round 1. the giants need to invest in the trenches, and that includes TE.
I would prefer the top DB to a WR as well.

beat the drum every year for a trade down, but it seems even more imperative this year given the number of holes we have. Dropping back even a little could get us another two.

could be the best WR in the draft if he declares. I'm unsure of what to draft at 12 I think I'm favoring Mosley only because our LB's sucked something awful outside of Beason. But, going by the past the Giants don't seem to value the LB's like other positions. WR seems like a luxury pick we can't afford to make. OL seems like the safest. And protected Eli should be the highest point of emphasis this offseason.

Ebron is significantly lighter, though he could add weight.

tonight game cannot change the draft order. The closest teams in the tiebreak are CLE with 132 SOS wins, and OAK with 133 SOS wins. OAK will pick up another win from tonight's game, so CLE takes the tiebreak. Everyone else is separated by at least 3 wins.

I like him but that position is an afterthought in TC's offense though half the league would love to have him. Just don't see it unless there is a wholesale change in offense. There could be a bidding if Amaro was there at 12.

I mean it can't change draft order for the teams with worse records or the same record as the Giants (the top 13).

here will probably be a no brainer. There should be a great talent at a position of massive need. Matthews, Lewan, Kouandjio, Robinson. Richardson. Someone will be there that they want.

Lewan and Robinson could very well both be there when the Giants pick. So, unless they just don't rate those two highly, I think the pick is going to be an OT. This is a very strong draft for OTs

Duned, it would be foolish for us to keep letting go of really good players that we drafted high and coached up to be impactful players. A young guy who is part of our run-stopping core should get his money right here, imo. Hankins can play alongside him or sub for him at times to keep both fresh. It's not like we have a ton of young DTs...Jenkins and Patterson aren't getting younger, and Kuhn doesn't seem like a lock to make the roster next year.

I have CHI at 14 and PIT at 15 based on the overthecap percentages. CHI has 2 fewer SOS wins and will pick up only 1 for the DAL-PHI game.

After that it depends on the PHI-DAL result as based on overthecap DAL would pick 16th if they lost tonight.

That's reasonable and I think highly of Joseph, I just worry he's going to command $7-8 mil a year and I'm not sure he's worth that, as valuable as he is. But to say Hankins can step in and fill that specific role (maybe) is not to say that it won't take a bite out of our depth. We were pretty healthy at DT this year, it is unreasonable to expect that to continue. If Joseph leaves we need to draft or sign at least one more guy, preferably someone who can play a serviceable one-technique.

Sign him; it's all about the guaranteed dough anyway. We'd likely structure his contract with a large enough bonus that that it wouldn't hurt the cap in the next few years.
