being age age Wilson is. Logically, you would let the body attempt to repair itself and the thought of surgery would be your last resort. Any type of back, or neck surgery regarding a pro athlete could be career ending.
operated on (Fused c6/c7), I can tell you waiting to make sure it is right is important. BUT, waiting until the issue is so bad you lose your triceps on one arm due to nerve impingement not so good. I suspect he was being treated with the hope that the issue would calm down by itself with PT and other treatments.
I can't imagine Wilson playing RB after a spinal fusion but then again I am no doctor. BUt, I wouldn't count on him playing and it sounds like the Giants will prepare as if he won't be there.
I was operated on for Spinal stenosis myself and had a triple fusion done. I was told it takes a year to fully heal and I don't play football. Not only do they have to do a fusion, but they will have to clean out his spinal canal of whatever is causing the stenosis. Its no simple thing.
They've been waiting and giving it time to see how it heals on its own.
This wait and see if it gets better is silly. He would be on his road to recovery by now.
2. Need swelling to go down for surgery.
Thats why.

I'd probably re-sign Brown and Hillis too.
