I don't think there are any OC positions that are not filled, and if there are I have not seen his named mentioned as a possible candidate anywhere. Would the Giants let him go without a job after giving him so much praise? Is he likely to head to the college ranks? My guess is he ends up on our staff in some capacity.
because BBI told me he's the heir apparent with all his military training... Derp
Will be interviewing for the Army HC gig per Rotoworld I believe..not sure but read online last night.
Didn't Army just hire a new head coach?
Hired a new head coach in December. Sullivan was rumored to be a candidate before they hired Monkin.
gidiefor, get on that ASAP.
Monken. Sullivan must have been one of the previous canidates.
do you actually think our OC would want Sullivan on this staff? get real!
Why do we care?
Seriously, why is Mike Sullivan's situation worth more thought than, say, Romeo Crennel's? Or any other former Giants position coach who got fired by another team?
but i think the two best years eli ever had statistically, sullivan was his QB coach. i think. if that's the case, here's hoping we at least think about that again. shouldn't we?
Either he or Loggains will be our new QB coach with Ryan moving to RBs or TEs.
They could use someone to smack Geno in the head and get him to take his headphones off.
with Phil. He is highly thought of by the staff and organization and I'm sure they would like to have him on the staff in some capacity.
I just find it interesting that there is a young coach available out there that the Giants ownership has publicly heaped praise on and has a lot of respect for. If Mara has a press conference 2 weeks ago and mentioned Romeo Crennell by name and multiple current players came out and endorsed him as DC I would be interested in his situation too.
I doubt he comes back in a lesser capacity under McAdoo
openings for OC and QB coach (they didn't have a dedicated QB coach last season.) Spagnuolo is an assistant there so Sullivan has a small connection to that staff. They only interviewed Kyle Shanahan for OC thus far, according to reports.
want Sully to be working under you on your offensive staff? He's not from your system, and you don't know him (assuming McAdoo is picking the guys he wants to come work with him to teach his system). It'll be interesting to see what happens with him. Sully is at minimum a good leader of people, and a coach who can deal well with players. Plax and the QBs all loved him.
Probably have to extend Eli this offseason. Don't you think they'd rather extend the good Sullivan Eli than the crummy Ryan Eli? Sully may not go for it, but it'll probably be some new QB coach.
that the offensive coaching staff has not been completed yet? They obviously had replacements in mind when they fired Pope and Ingram. Could there be assistants from teams still playing that could be coming to NY? I know McAdoo was in San Fran for a little while but not when Harbaugh was there.
I was thinking same. Sully
And loggains are trying to
Get Oc jobs...After 2 teams
Lose this weekend and no
Jobs available they may
Take lesser job here...Also
The texans coach..
eye on Denver offensive assistant Jim Bob Cooter bc they have a thing for guys with funny names (Hedgecock, Mike Cox, etc.)
he would do well to try to get on as a position coach somewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up here as QB coach or RBs coach.
probably has an offer from Tommy to come back as QB coach or another position. But ego and pride are big in this profession.
Who knows?. I'd figure they want a whole change in philosophy on offense (hence Ingram and Pope let go) they now stay away from a Sullivan. Start a new people around.
No problem whatsoever with Phil's point. Rflairr brings up a good point too about ego and pride. Hopefuly Sully can take Uncle Marsellus Wallace's advice...
Pulp Fiction- Fuck Pride - (

a chance to succeed please without Sullivan looking over his shoulder.
I gotta hunch that hiring Sullivan as QB coach would be a big mistake.
QB and TE himself recently. So his input could well will be who gets those jobs.
looking for a job as he was several weeks ago. Generally you should never go back to the place you came from. Go coach with another NFL team or some college.
