Shaun seems to be at that age where he is more prone to injury and can't stay healthy. Except for a couple of games, Rivers has been mostly quiet; he certainly hasn't played to the level of a top-ten pick.
should retire IMO. Rogers had a decent career, but he's 35 with knee problems. If he saved his money, he's set. Quit and lose some weight to ease the strain on your knees big fella.
Guy just did not make plays.....let's face it, there are guys who look great in college, because they free lance.....but put into a system where there a "reads" and "responsibilities", one second of hesitation, and you don't come close to resembling that player in college....
Played much much better as the year wore on. Beason I assume had a hand there, the entire LB corps picked up their play after his arrival.
I think JW and Paysinger flanking Beason is serviceable and I still think Williams has the goods to be a good WILL for us. Paysinger isn't overly instinctive, but he's aggressive and a good core st player but we could use an upgrade there obviously. I expect a guy like Alan Bradford to maybe make a bid for playing time during the Summer.
All I know is that if you can't crack the starting LB
I think he performed decently enough to warrant a 5th round pick. What do you expect from a 5th rounder that would be a significant upgrade over Rivers? Especially given the Giants midround draft track record.
And try too sign a guy like James Anderson reunite him with Beason, He had a good year with the Bears (103 tackles 4 sacks). He's already in his 30's so he shouldn't be expensive, and the bears just selected Khaseem Greene and Jon Bostic as replacements that might be ready to start.
u just described the exact opposite of Rivers. he sucks at any part of the physical game but he is actually an unbelievable athlete with solid football instincts. he just doesn't like contact.
if u r joking I apologize, sarcasm on the net is tough

actually quietly had his best season quite some time...see the Roster Analysis section for his final totals. He also stayed healthy.

Didnt pan out
I could be wrong. I'm OK with bringing him back.
I recall he did decently against Oakland. Other than that, I am missing when these numerous good performances occurred.
His problem is that he's slow as molasses and misses too many tackles.
