With all the FA signings and in lieu of the Lewan news, who are your top 5 realistic picks at 12?
I'll start:
1. Ebron (one of best TE prospects of the last few years and McAd0o will have big plans for him)
2. Evans (monster WR with hands, faster than Plax)
3. Marquise Lee (going to be a stud WR- 191 catches his first 2 years in a major college program)
4. Aaron Donald (category 4 hurricane)
5. Anthony Barr (if they like his fit as DE in the 4-3)
Evans
Martin
Benjamin
Barr
Watkins
Matthews
Robinson
Mack
In no particular order.
Eric Ebron
That's about it... Unless someone drops that isn't expected...
Like Matthews, Robinson or Mack...
I don't want Barr, Evans, Lee or Ealy...
Matthews and Robinson whom I love and are dominant LT versatile lineman will be likely gone and Martin while tough and versatile is not a dominant lineman. Lewan who I already felt was a notch below Matthews and Robinson has character issues.
The great news in this loaded draft we can get a very, very good and likely plug and play lineman at 43.
So rd 1 will be a plug and play TE/receiver (no need for projects like Benjamin) and rd 2 will be a plug and play OL.
Watkins
Matthews
Robinson
Mack
In no particular order.
Wha?
Bortles
Clowney
Matthews
Mack
Robinson
Manziel
Watkins
Gilbert
Carr (amazing pro-day solidifies his spot early)
Bridgewater (tape too good and bad pro-day was overblown)
Dennard
2. Lewan
3. Evans
4. Ebron
5. Barr (I guess)
Only bumped Lewan down from the top because of the recent news. But I guess if it's that bad, he can be behind Ebron.
2. Evans
3. Ebron
4. Donald
5. Ealy
I dont want Ebron I would rather Amaro but if Lewan and Evans are gone i would take him.
Gilbert was my 1 but we aren't going corner now.
Mack. Same thing.
Gilbert.
Evans.
Lewan.
2 - Martin
3 - Evans
4 - Barr
5 - Mosley
Bortles
Clowney
Matthews
Mack
Robinson
Manziel
Watkins
Gilbert
Carr (amazing pro-day solidifies his spot early)
Bridgewater (tape too good and bad pro-day was overblown)
Dennard
So you would draft one of those QBs if they were left and everybody else was gone?
Mack. Same thing.
Gilbert.
Evans.
Lewan.
Matthews or Mack would be friggen awesome. Mack has the potential to be bigger playmaker than Willis.
2) Barr
3) Ebron
4) Evans
5) Z. Martin
2. Donald
3. Ebron
4. Evans
5. Martin
Barr
Ebron
Donald
Ideally you match elite physical traits, production and upside in the 1st Round. All five of these prospects bring that combination to the table.
2) Lewan
3) Evans
4) Barr
5) Ebron
2-Evans
3-Barr
4-Lewan
23 seconds
6 seconds
2. Donald
3. Lewan
4. Evans
5. Mosley
2. Donald
3. Lewan
4. Evans
5. Mosley
Not a big fan of DTs in the first half of round 1 unless they are potential pass rushing beasts with elite college production. Only Donald fits that bill.
Mike Evans
Taylor Lewan
Zack Martin
Aaron Donald
Eric Ebron
I like Anthony Barr and Khalil Mack, but I am so damn tired of the trying to make the OLB/DE 'tweener fit this defense.
The more I think about it, the more I think Mike Evans would be the best fit.
Lewan
Donald
Evans
Martin
2. Barr
3. Ebron
4. Donald
5. Martin
Martin
Evans
Lewan
Ealy
More so then most years, I'd love a trade down and an extra second rounder.
But to play along:
Ebron
Donald
Tuitt
Martin
Jernigan
2. Donald
3. Barr
4. Evans
5. Ebron
Relax there preppy. It was a discussion point.
Lewan
Evans
if none are there then try to trade down if can't then Jernnigan
Barr is an young Jason Taylor. Taylor Thrived in a 4-3 D
Only reason Evans is 3rd choice is because so many good WR's should be availble in rnd 2 like Matthews, Adams, Robinson, Landry, Moncrief
Evans
Donald
Lewan
Martin
2) Donald
3) Evans
4) Ebron
5) Dennard
Donald
Lewan
Mack
Su'a-Filo
If Evans ran a 4.40 and could get any separation I'd be all for him, but he can't and doesn't.
If Ebron ran about 4.5 I'd have him on the list too. He might still be worth it, depending upon McAdoo's offensive scheme as well as their opinion about Robinson and Donnell.
If Ealy played the run better he might be worth it too.
1. Taylor Lewan
2. Aaron Donald
3. Anthony Barr
4. Zack Martin
5. Timmy Jernigan
Will be VERY pissed if we go Eric Ebron or Mike Evans in the 12 hole.

Why so down on a beast WR and TE?
...I'm not as much down at the TE position since there is an obvious gaping talent hole there.
But I'm of the opinion that neither position (especially WR) is very meaningful without a plus offensive line. We need quality and depth at Tackle and Center and I'd like these 2 positions filled in the first 3 rounds, preferably first two.
WR or TE in the 12 hole gets in the way of that task IMO.
Then, again, if the value at O-line just isn't there at 12, then we could certainly use a plus talent on the D-line in light of losing Linval Joseph and Justin Tuck. Aaron Donald is my guy in that case.
...after QB, the most important unit on the field is the offensive line followed closely behind by the defensive line.
The offensive line is the solution to both of these issues, with TE a distant second and WR not even in consideration.
2 - Ebron
3 - Donald
4 - Jernigan
5 - Zack Martin

Why so down on a beast WR and TE?
Maybe because not everybody considers them beasts. What if Evans is the next Joe Jurevicius/Reggie Williams is that worth the #12 pick? Ebron is one of the top TE's in this draft but may be a smidge overrated at #12 as teams try to find the next Jimmy Graham/Rob Gronkowski but I, and others, are not sure he is on that same level. If someone like Troy Niklas slides I would rather take him in Round 3 (or nab an underrated TE like Marcel Jensen later in the draft) versus taking Ebron at #12 if comparable talent at other positions are there with our first selection
1 T. Lewan OT
2 K. Martin DE
3 E. Ferguson DT
4 KP Louis OLB
5 AC Greene TE
6 S. Henderson OT

You are right in that not everyone will consider these guys stud players. However there is alot of reports around our interest level in both those guys.We also didnt try real hard for a WR either this offseason with all our other ssignings. Which is some of the big reasons I think we are going WR or TE at 12
