I think

he wants to bring him in low pressure situations for the beginning few weeks to get his feet wet and then gradually bring him into more high pressure situations. I dont hate the plan, but I hope they start moving him up in the pecking order soon

at least he seems to have finally harnessed his stuff. We are going to need him. I wonder how long before the talking heads yammer on about him possibly starting.

Any guess on why Uehara isn't in?
make frackin contact Gardner

The Yanks

and Sox are 93-93 against each other over the last 186 games (since 2004). Crazy.
This offense is just not that great top to bottom...

even with Teix but especially without him. Solarte seems like he's coming back to earth but even if we still have a little lightning in the bottle we've got a rusty or a depleted Brian Roberts at 2nd, an aging Jeter at SS and we're relying on Dean Anna, Solarte and Kelly Johnson to take regular reps at positions that are supposed to generate offense. McCann needs to start swinging the bat too.
I hope Yankees are seriously

regretting not going hard after Jose Abreu. Their calling him the "Grande Dolor"...Spanish Big Hurt.
But we've got Teix...
Dunedin81 : 4/11/2014 11:07 pm : link
for three...more...fucking...years.
the Yankees
MookGiants : 4/11/2014 11:08 pm : link
have wasted quite a few opportunities over the years to sign international free agents.
they should have went after abreu
sinctybldh : 4/12/2014 2:12 am : link
and let him split dh and first with texeira. it is a damn shame they didn't get a player like that who is well in his prime. he would have been exactly what this offense needs.
Uehara had a stiff shoulder
WeatherMan : 4/12/2014 3:26 am : link
they gave him the night off. Good work by Mujica in his place, it's good to have a second option for the future if Koji works a few days in a row to be able to rest him when needed. In time the closer will be Tazawa, who had a great 4 out performance tonight against the heart of the NYY order.
McCann

Has been a major flop so far and it bothers me because I did not want this guy.. I wanted Sanchez to be the everyday catcher by next year. What should of happen was back in 2013 offseason the Yankees should of brought Martin back on a 2 year deal. Instead we are stuck with Tex part 2 for 5 years and 85 million
It's been a week of McCann...
Dunedin81 : 4/12/2014 7:30 am : link
and Sanchez, while a very good prospect, had less than 100 ABs at AA when McCann was signed.

Holy shit, most teams would be glad to be "stuck" with McCann. It sure sucks having one of the best catchers in baseball.
