It was coming. Ibanez was 0 for 3, ripped the ball his last time up but right at Ike, his next hit would be his 2000th and of course he was the tying run.
I just won't be able to embrace Grandy knowing his approach at the plate has so many holes and there are simply too many unproductive at bats that lie ahead.
Nobody knows what, if any, role that played in his injury. But I don't think we can say with certainty that it was just "bad luck." As the saying goes, luck is the residue of design.
Plus, even if Parnell did not blow out the elbow, you can't really count on a guy coming off neck surgery and have no adequate backup plan.
Phi; I don't think you read the whole post. Maybe just the title?
I read the whole post. How can you say that he has no eye for baseball talent and then also say he has done a fine job of straightening them out? Truth is, Sandy has done a pretty bad job here with the Mets.
dragged to bars that didn't have TV and havn't seen any of these @Angels games. Looks like our bench chipped in yesterday.
It's nice to see Niese pick right up where he left off last year. Really hoping that this kid can stay healthy. He's had all clean MRIs this spring, so I'm optimistic. Would love to see the fat man get us back to .500 today.
RE: So who should be our closer going forward for this season?
I didn't feel like staying up to watch another shitty loss. Was pretty surprised to see that they pulled it out anyway.
Recker really seems to have a knack for coming through in big spots. No denying his power, either. He might actually be a decent backup after all.
Would be awesome to take a 3rd road series in a row today but it will be difficult against Wilson. He was great his last start after a bad first one. Hopefully the big guy can come through for us on his old stomping grounds.
Hopefully Recker delivers again.
Mets have to score here
Can't find the strikezone with aybar but throws a meatball to the guy that can easily jack one out.
God help us!
Sandy is basically a guy who is great at running things. But he has no eye for baseball talent.
Papa Fucking Grande...
I really, really need to find something else to do with my time.

risky letting him face Trout. But he hit it right to Ike.
Angels I think used everyone. Mets didn't use Farnsworth or Familia
Familia and Farnsworth were not used.
BIG WIN!!!
Quote:
Costly win as the mets had to use most of their bullpen. Hopefully colon ca pitch deep tomorrow.
Familia did throw like 50 pitches but farnsworth should be good to go
