I am starting this thread early to get the ball rolling, but the clock will NOT officially start until
Thursday, April 17th at 9am. The draft will run from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday until the start of the NFL Draft (Thursday, May 8th) or the completion of the 5th round. Please remember to use the DISCUSSION thread so we can keep this thread uncluttered.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm time frame. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the
GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (ie: Indianapolis Colts won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) Saos1n and Yatqb will have priority to fill the vacancy. Otherwise, the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers that didn't get into the draft but were active in the draft discussion thread.
I have saved the GBN Big Board as of 4/2 in a
Google Document. Once again, we will have a
Google Spreadsheet. The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-5) by team (and GM) and a list of both available and taken prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible.

The Browns like this kid just as much as any of the "Top 3" QBs in this class and believe he has the most arm talent of the 4. With Kyle Shanahan now running the offense with his trademark zone scheme, adding another powerful, athletic lineman was paramount to jumpstart Cleveland's woeful ground game. Now they are able to grab their QB in Derek Carr.
Carr possesses the ability to make all the throws and has underrated athleticism. He's a fiery leader and had fantastic production in college. While he played predominantly in the shotgun in a spread offense, he showed excellent smooth drops during his pro day. He also won't be forced to start day one unless Hoyer is not healthy. Cleveland sees him as the QB with the highest floor in this draft.
Boylhart: "Derek does an excellent job adjusting to what he sees on the field compared to what he sees in pre-game film sessions. He shows good accuracy on most passes and has excellent velocity on his ball to be considered by those cold weather teams when the winds become troublesome for the passing game. He has solid athleticism and does a good job throwing on the run for planned roll-outs" - Perfect for Shanahan's west coast offense.
Dee Ford DE/OLB Auburn
Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia
***DT Rashede Hageman***
6'6 310# out of the University of Minnesota
Highly versatile and powerful DL offers Belichick a ton of flexibility in how to use him in his multiple defensive sets.
WR Kelvin Benjamin 6'5' 240lbs
Florida State’s Kelvin Benjamin is the largest most physical wide receiver in this draft, and is an outstanding jump ball and possession receiver. His tape proved his dominance against basically every corner when it came to contested catches, and even though he may not blow the top off a defense, he can certainly create mismatches on a defense.
Benjamin would be a nice compliment to Anquan Boldin on the outside, which could possibly leave the door open for Michael Crabtree to slide to the slot position. If not, the Florida State product would be extremely effective in the red zone, an area where San Francisco has notoriously struggled in the past.
Xavier Su'a-Filo, Guard, UCLA
Louis Nix, NT, Notre Dame

He won the John Mackey award for best TE in football and we think he can be the same difference maker he was in college at the next level.
