Do you grab Bridgewater 12th?

yankeeslover : 4/13/2014 9:47 am
or is this a remote throwing pick? if he slips somehow to 12 and the Giants do believe Eli is in a decline and or his ankle is bigger issue, do you think they entertain the thaught of Bridgewater? Let him sit a season behind Eli, if Eli returns to form then you hold on to both or unload Bridgewater for a 1st round pick later on.... Me? i would probably throw my remote as i dont think Eli is done and i would not want to waste a premium pick on someone that will sit........

Reese and Coughlin both believed in Nassib enough to trade up for him.

Its to soon to jump off that wagon and hitch it to someone else. Just not going to happen.
Any pick of a QB (other than to trade him)

with the first 4 picks in this draft will be an absolute waste. Not only of a pick but also of the cap dollars we would have to pay him. Does anyone think that the QB we would pick will end up starting in the next 2-3 years? I am sure the answer is NO. Well, we need starters at other positions NOW and do not have the luxury of using a pick for a bench player.
No!

That is WAY too much money tied up in one position. That is a recipe for failure if there ever was one.
As Michael has said

No QB @12 this year

Eli is quite capable of delivering another championship in the next three years...if the FO puts the pieces in place around him.
you don't draft ANY QB at 12
ZogZerg : 4/13/2014 5:38 pm : link
We already threw away 2 picks last year on a qb.
If Eli is in decline

and he's going to be worse than he was last year, the Giants will probably have an even higher pick in 2015. If that's the case, I'd rather ride it out this season and hope the Giants can get in range to take a shot at Jameis Winston next year.

Now if Luck was available that is another story, his pro day he missed his targets bad which is not a good thing,I pass.
no way

team is better off taking the best player available or moving down.
The premise of the thread is wrong

If you take Bridgewater at 12 and Eli returns to form, it's Eli you need to trade at the end of the season, not Bridgewater. Nobody is giving up a 1st round pick for Bridgewater after sitting on the bench for a year when they know you can't use him.

If the Giants drop a 12 on a QB this year it is because they believe he is the future of the franchise, and he will get that shot, which means Eli is the guy that has to go. Otherwise you just threw away 1st roud pick and if you're lucky you get back a second or a third next year.
Bridgewater?
kotar1 : 4/14/2014 10:46 am : link
No, we have Nassib who will be a good QB if given the chance. He reminds me of Phil Simms, tough, strong, good arm, and a good leader. Don't give up on him until you give him a chance.
no and Painter

if he is on the roster again this year, were in much worse shape than I thought with Eli
Maybe at 212, but not 12
