Again, this one took a little longer than I wanted, but this is a review of the Giants vs Jaguars in the final regular season game of 2000. It was a cold Saturday game where the Giants found themselves in a position that with a win, they would clinch homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. It was something that was unthinkable after back to back blowouts at home by the Rams and Lions, which prompted Fassel's "push the chips to the middle of the table" speech.
Meanwhile on the other side was a younger Tom Coughlin and the Jags, a team that was a consistent power in the AFC for years, but fell on hard times and after a slow start, found themselves out of the playoffs and playing for nothing but pride and spoiling the Giants run.
This game was a low scoring affair for most of the afternoon and the Jaguars had a lead into the 4th quarter. In the last 3 minutes of the game however, the teams would score 4 TDs, including a Jason Sehorn return of an onside kick for a TD, and the Giants would hold on for a 28-25 win.

It got the Giants fired up and they beat the hell out of Taylor every time he touched the ball. IIRC, Taylor could not finish the game.
That said, it's pretty amazing that the 2000 team had as good a regular season record as any Giant team in the Coughlin era.
