NFT: Anyone installed a tube skylight?

Thinking about putting one in my kitchen and would like to do it myself to save money. How difficult is the installation? It doesn't sound terribly difficult, but I'm a bit hesistant about cutting into my roof - if I screw that bit up, that's a pricy repair.

if you are handy and if you have a shingle roof. The light that it puts into the area is great i would highly recommend doing it.

unless you have a slate roof..

Its far from difficult. Ccan't link, but check out the youtube installation videos. If you consider yourself handy it will not be an issue.

I'd say I'm moderately handy. I'm pretty fair with electrical, not so much plumbing although my most recent repair was replacing the wax gasket on my toilet. Biggest thing I've done to date was installing a ceiling fan.
