Harvey has said that he's trying to emulate Derek Jeter's dating style, and it appears he's on the right track.
"That guy is the model," Harvey told Men's Journal of Jeter. "I mean, first off, let's just look at the women he's dated. Obviously, he goes out – he's meeting these girls somewhere – but you never hear about it. That's where I want to be."

He will practice on the faces of Barves.
All the women Jeter dated were A listers. All Harvey had were meh.
I was gonna say. Anne V is a hottie, but this one, at first glance, doesn't seem to wow.
If you need to question Anne V's hotness, watch Maroon 5's "Misery"...and since some of you can't stand Maroon 5, listen to it on mute.

He's outspoken and kind of brash. The public debate about where he'd do his rehab, for example. Certainly not a 'good soldier' like Wright.
At least at that point money wasn't an object for the mets.
Five years from now, who knows what this team will be financially. Why would I trust that they'll feel like spending, when they've been saying for 4 years that everything is perfectly fine.
2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019... if they manage that then I'll be happy for Harvey... assuming I even know the Mets suck by then since I likely will have lost interest with 11 straight seasons of suck with 6 yet to happen (including this year).
Regardless DMM nailed it. Mets will lock him up long term and buy out some of his early years. He's not going anywhere
I'm simply thinking of the organization's desire to hold on to one of their own. They don't have my trust. No one thought they'd let Reyes walk in his prime without even an offer, but they did. Harvey isn't Wright. He's not a Mets fan for life. I love Harvey, but he very much seems like a guy who is particular about money and winning, not sticking with one team for his career. And there's always the chance with this temperamental ownership that Harvey says things they don't like hearing and they let him go away. I don't trust the Mets. Don't know why anyone would.
Keys to a pink Ferrari. Pricey, but every time you see a chick in a pink Ferrari hurtling through New York, it's just..."fuckin Harvey man".
That's how it's done.

+1
Those in denial won't agree though.
Or drive right to Cooperstown after his last game?
Well done.
Enough. I'm tired of the comparing anyone to Jeter. It's typical Met fan bullshit.
Shouldn't everyone want to be like him? I don't really see the problem with expressing a desire to emulate a hall of famer. Literally every pro athlete has a hero.
Harvey's great; most of us hope he gets healthy and we can watch him pitch again. I'd tune in for his starts last year even though baseball was generally unenjoyable then.
"The Yankees are in their home white uniforms with navy pinstripes...the navy interlocking "NY" on the left breast... navy caps with same white interlocking "NY".. jersey number on the back and of course....no name"
Yankees win.....
Hopefully instead Harvey will just hand his retirement to the press a year in advance and turn an entire season into a farewell tour while ground ball after ground ball makes it to centerfield between second and short.
