And I'm NOT taking EE at 12. Give me Lewan at 12. Even Hageman if we are going DT.

These mocks, there are a zillion of these and each have different scenario's. Heck, not even NFL GM's know how things will unfold.
If

no QBs go before #12, then I'd be surprised if anyone traded up to #12 for one. Manziel, Bortles, Carr, Bridgewater, McCarron, Savage, and Mettenberger would still be left. Almost everyone who wanted a QB could get one in the second under this scenario.
i can't see falcons trading up AGAIN
odunde : 4/15/2014 7:26 pm : link
after the costly splash they made for Julio a few years ago. Like us, too many holes.

Hageman interests me. He seems like a guy we would draft based on his physical size and ability to knock balls at the LOS down.
Well
Giants2012 : 4/15/2014 7:38 pm : link
then a better player will get pushed down in the 2nd round.

Giants are in a good position regardless, IMO.

Hageman is a major risk at #12. At times he looks otherworldly. At other times, he appears disinterested. Lots of emotional issues as well, a result of his horrific childhood. Had some early academic problems at Minnesota, and was arrested for disorderly conduct IIRC. Also has a kid. Too risky IMO. Too much of a "boom or bust" type pick.
It's the draft most things are possible....

but let's face it that scenario is unlikely.
in that mock Lewan and Z. Martin are available
Del Shofner : 4/15/2014 7:48 pm : link
along with Ebron. I wouldn't hurl the remote over any of them.

Good point

Bortles will go high. I don't think the others will. I think Bridgewater may slip into the mid-2nd round.

And there's no way we take Ebron over Martin.

I love it when people post absolute statements like this about the draft. Unless you're A) Jerry Resse himself or B) someone who works in the Giant's FO with explicit knowledge of what the Giants draft board looks like, you have about as much a clue on who they will draft as a doorstop does.

You're so wise and tough. Let's hear what your opinion is on the draft. Oh, and since you want to back things up with evidence from the Giants FO, instead of just chewing the fat, let's see you provide that as well.

Otherwise, recognize the forum you're in and the appropriate level of discourse and keep your mouth shut.

Since you hate absolute statements as well, I'll further have to call you out on your doorstop comment. Please provide a doorstop's opinion and verify its origin. Thanks.

1. A doorstep has no knowledge of what the Giants draft board looks like.
2. Neither do you
So therefore you and the doorstop share your ignorance of what the Giants will do in common, as do all of us. Thus making a statement like "they won't draft so and so over so and so" is speculation and should read something more like "I don't think they would draft so and so over so and so". It's fun to talk about and speculate. All Kulish is saying is the absolute statements around draft time get out of hand... And he is not wrong.
calling bullshit on the need to couch ever opinion

Offered here with "IMO".

It's a waste of time typing. It's easy enough to know when a definitive statement here is just opinion; doesn't require spelling out explicitly or a blood brawl. IMO.

His top rated OL or trade back if offered. We could use an extra 2 or 3 this draft.
NO...
M.S. : 4/16/2014 5:00 am : link

We suck at TE, but our current OL is one starting injury away from a 4-12 team.

If 4 QB's get picked late first round and early second the Giants get

the same players to choose from in round two as if the 4 QB's went in the top 10 of round one. There is zero advantage to that scenario.

no QB's being taken before 12. I think one will be taken but I'd be fairly surprised if more than one is picked that high.

ANGPASS : 4/16/2014 1:16 pm : link
these players these mocks have the giants taking, it would be funny if the giants take a player we didn't mention once here.
That would not be funny, that would be Pugh or to a lesser extent
wgenesis123 : 4/16/2014 3:34 pm : link
Wilson who some posters wanted in round two. Several hours before the Giants picked Eric declared Wilson would be the pick.
If it was me, I would take either Lewan or Martin
