She can claim it all she wants. It just isn't true. It's right there in writing in her books and in interviews, etc. I actually read one of her books. What a train wreck. There is absolutely no medical or scientific evidence to back her theories and claims. She can't even get some quack to lend a quote in the book.
Seriously, I don't care what she looks like. I found her annoying when she started out on that cheesy MTV dating game and find her just as annoying now. In her book she whined non-stop about taking demeaning gigs just to support her kid. Yet, she continues to do the same stuff and same schtick.
MCCARTHY: I would like the CDC to get a better schedule. Thirty- six -- I would like to see them clean up the ingredients. I would like for parents to feel safer by offering the families the test for their baby to see if their immune system is strong enough to handle these. I would love the CDC to give a piece of paper before they gave my a Hep B shot in the hospital saying here are the possible side effects for each shot. I think parents would feel a lot safer and they're not right now.
I haven't followed what she has said too closely but when I have actually seen her speak and not just sound bites this is representative of her message Link - ( New Window )

Well she is on The View now, I think. Which is a pretty stable gig as long as you are politically neutral or lean to the far left, haha.
I know that is why I can't believe she now denies it. Here is a link to an op-ed where she makes the claim. What a loon.
Quote:
I am not “anti-vaccine.” This is not a change in my stance nor is it a new position that I have recently adopted. For years, I have repeatedly stated that I am, in fact, “pro-vaccine” and for years I have been wrongly branded as “anti-vaccine.”
I remember the summer after my freshman year of college, I went to visit a friend who was from Seattle. We were flipping around the TV one day and happened to see a girl we knew from school on that show and we felt so, so sorry for the guy who won a date with her.
MCCARTHY: The light at the end of the tunnel is offering hope to parents that we can help make these kids, if not recover -- I'm not offering recovery for everyone -- but get better or feel better. In terms of schedules and the CDC kind of stepping up and helping out and changing things, I think you're going to see me in front of Congress next. I think that's where you're going to see me trying to really change things.
We're scared. I mean moms and pregnant women are coming up to me on the street going, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. And I don't know what to tell them, because I am surely not going to tell anyone to vaccinate. But if I had another child, there's no way in hell.
KING: Really?
MCCARTHY: Mm hmm.
KING: Huh.
MCCARTHY: But I'm not telling anyone to do that. But, in my opinion, for my next kid -- which I'm never going to have -- there's no way.
I couldn't stand that show. She was annoying with her go to move just sticking out her tongue while making a stupid face. And the host, Chris Hardwick, was equally as annoying. But, a lot of that also had to do with the writing for the show. As it went on it got worse because McCarthy became the fan favorite as guys would watch just for her. so, they cut to her more and more.
in the 2007 interview about vaccines causing autism.
KING: And you're saying they're the cause?
MCCARTHY: I'm glad you brought that up. No, I do not believe that vaccines are the sole cause for autism. I do believe they are a trigger. They are a trigger and the dumbest way to explain it, though, for me is, if you become overweight, you might trigger diabetes.
KING: But you don't...
MCCARTHY: So there's something in the immune system that is weakened in these kids, they maybe can't process the vaccines. I don't think it's solely the vaccines. I think there's toxins in the environment, pesticides, (INAUDIBLE) women.
It's kind of like a pile up. If you can fill up a bucket of all this stuff going on with these kids, if they have a weak immune system, all that crap is going to overflow.
Changing ones mind is fine, but that isn't what she is saying. Did you read the quote of hers I posted earlier?
Steve, I'm not arguing with you. Maybe she was anti-vaccine before and now she isn't because she realized she was wrong but doesn't want to admit it (probably more likely). Or maybe she always was before and was just branded incorrectly as she says.
Either way, she's not anti-vaccine now, apparently.
the charge and use your undeserved fame to try and influence thousands upon thousands of impressionable people to not immunize their children, you don't then get to say, "Hey, I changed my mind." Fuck this pig.
don't make any major medical decision unless I consult a Playboy Playmate first.
Haha, I was just thinking, you really need to start re-evaluating things when not only is Jenny McCarthy one of the few mainstream supporters of your crazy medical ideas... but you eventually lose her, lol.

No, the dumb twat definitely believed that vaccines caused Â
autism. From a joint statement from her and Jim Carrey, in 2010.
Quote:
There is no question that the publication of the monkey study will lend substantial credibility to the theory that over-vaccination of young children is leading to neurological damage, including autism.
Quote:
Dr. Andrew Wakefield is being discredited to prevent an historic study from being published that for the first time looks at vaccinated versus unvaccinated primates and compares health outcomes, with potentially devastating consequences for vaccine makers and public health officials.
McCarthy using her image or the quacks who profited
from this fraud, like Andrew Wakefield,Jeff Bradstreet & Mark Geier, who caused more grief to the many parents duped by their bullshit. I just hope they all rot in hell.
I wasn't aware (until just a few minutes ago after some Googling) Â
MCCARTHY: Heck, no. I am completely for them.
KING: No.
So what do you do?
MCCARTHY: I would like the CDC to get a better schedule. Thirty- six -- I would like to see them clean up the ingredients. Jelly much?
I'm intrigued. Does that imply particularly powerful suction?
Didn't she make out with some random New York City fireman?
